Become the ethical communication ambassador within the Danish and Norwegian subsidiary

Then you could be our new Medical Services Specialist located in Denmark in the Nordic Medical Services Team working in a vibrant cross-cultural environment.

Broad medical role reviewing healthcare communications and responding to complex medical inquiries
As a Medical Services Specialist, you review and approve all promotional materials and certain marketing activities. You ensure medical and scientific accuracy, the highest ethical standard and compliance with applicable rules, regulations and ethical codes in MSD’s promotional communications. Together with your Nordic Medical Services colleagues, you help marketing and sales colleagues in understanding the corporate standards and processes for promotional material approvals and the current practice of the local code. Additionally you respond to complex medical inquiries about MSD products from health care professionals and relevant stakeholders, which have not been solved by first line medical Information services. You support your colleagues in the other Nordic countries by acting as sparring partner, extra resource and/or back up.

Variable tasks and key support to Local Management Team and Brand leads
The role is broad and contains variable tasks with a major focus on marketing reviews and secondary on supporting the medical inquiries. The key tasks are:

  • Management of local vendor (DK & NO) who provides first line medical information services (incl. pharmacovigilance and product quality requirements)
  • Providing early input to innovative ideas and activities, sparring business colleagues
  • Ongoing evaluation and improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the Nordic Medical Services Team
  • Implement global initiatives in medical information and medical review locally
  • Participating in cross-functional and/or cross-country activities

You understand science and people
You have either a pharmacist degree or equivalent (MSc) in Life Sciences, and more than 2 years of experience within medical information services or approving promotional pharma materials. You are driven by ethics and integrity, a patient and customer focus, and you establish strong relationships with multiple internal stakeholders across different functions. You have learned that trust, achieved through a strong desire to reach results while focusing on patients and customers and highest ethical and scientific standards, is a prerequisite for success in this industry. Combining a strong head for science with business acumen and strong communication skills, you easily communicate with customers in Medical Information as well as various internal stakeholders.

As a person, you have the flexibility to adapt and succeed in a rapidly changing environment. You are able to work independently, you can take decisions and apply rules and guidance on new activities and situations even though not all facts are available. You are good at listening and understanding others perspectives, yet you know how to get your point across in a way that makes colleagues and external stakeholders appreciate your expertise, skills and high ethical standard. In addition you have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Danish and/or Norwegian.
