Contribute in optimising the execution of projects and programmes in Global IT
As Senior PMO Manager you are located in the PMO Department, which is a part of the Project & Portfolio Management (PPM). Besides PMO the PPM area consist of Programme Management, Project Management, Process Management, Organisational Change Management and Portfolio Management. PPM itself is one of four areas forming Global IT in LEO Pharma. Currently PPM manages 72 projects organised in 12 Programmes – the vast majority is directly linked to LEO Pharma’s Business areas and as such support the 2025 Strategy. The environment within PPM is characterised by ambition, high pace, pragmatism and the will to succeed through collaboration. The PMO department is focused around two key areas, a Back office supporting projects having centralised services and a Front office allocating Senior PMO Managers and PMO Managers to programmes/projects.

As Senior PMO manager you are working in close collaboration with Programme- or Project Managers to ensure solid Planning, Reporting, Governance, RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions), Lessons Learned, Financial Management, Meeting structures etc. This is done through problem identification (pro- and reactively), building concepts to mitigate, anchoring supportive processes, tools and templates and subsequently monitoring/supporting to ensure a steady state. In short increasing the programme/project maturity; not by taking an academic and method heavy approach, but by creating impacts where it matters the most.

Your focus is on Processes whereas the Programme- and Project Manager focus on Deliverables.

Your qualifications

  • You have a relevant academic background (BA, MSc or equivalent)
  • You have worked as Project- or PMO Manager on medium to large scale Programmes or Projects for more than 5 years
  • You have a structured and analytical approach to solving problems and a talent for identifying pragmatic solutions
  • You are strong in communication, team- and relation building and provide tangible results

You will be heading a team of 6-8 people with the purpose of development of either existing or new apps (both iOS and Android) for some of the most prominent products and solutions in the industry.

In this position, you will be assuming full responsibility for strategically important app development projects, aligning expectations on time, cost and scope and allocating tasks to the development teams. You will be using a cross platform framework, Xamarin, with agile work methodologies and collaborate with experienced and skilled cross functional colleagues, suppliers and other external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the technical stakeholder management to ensure alignment and that the app co-functions with the entire back end and other systems.

Agile development – strong communications skills.
We expect you to have a master’s degree within IT Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar. You are an experienced project manager with project management certifications and solid experience with agile development, Scrum and/or SAFe. We expect you to have 3+ years of experience as a manager, team leader or technical software project leader.

Energetic and service minded with experience from the pharmaceutical industry
We expect you to have a degree in business administration, pharmaceutical science or similar combined with at least five years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry. You must have experience in gathering and synthesis of market information, as well as more explorative and non-conventional analysis. Furthermore, you must possess advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and speak English on a high professional level.

Personally, you are a resourceful problem-solver that drives results and thrives working in a quickly changing environment, which requires strategic agility. You are keen to learn and understand different business challenges. In addition to your strong focus on stakeholder management, you need to be approachable, service-minded, and energetic.
