Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs A/S is the world’s leading company in the breeding of high-quality, microbiologically defined Göttingen Minipigs for biomedical research and development. They are now looking for a skilled person to the newly established role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the company.

Take part in an exciting growth journey
As the COO at Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs A/S you will be responsible for overseeing all operations and ensure that the teams work towards achieving the corporate goals. You will keep an eye on daily operations and provide insights to the CEO. You will design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures. In collaboration with the CEO, you will set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and establish policies that promote the unique company culture and vision. Besides, you will be evaluating performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics. You will also be preparing and presenting performance reports and financial reports to the Board of Directors. Leadership will be a crucial part of this role as you are responsible for leading your team of employees consisting of approximately 45 people in total to encourage maximum performance and dedication.

The objectives for the future COO of Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs A/S are ambitious since the company is in rapid development. They are currently at the onset of a substantial expansion with more activities in North America, which is why we are looking for a candidate who already has experience with the North American market. Essentially, international experience is vital as the growth ambitions also reaches into more activities in China. The COO is expected to ensure that all day-to-day operations run smoothly during this expansion, at the same time as the business needs to be strengthened within the existing markets and daily operational challenges needs to be solved. Generally, the objective of the COO is to lead the operational team towards the achievement of the company’s core values.

Excellent operational skills and an analytical mindset
To succeed in this role, you can come from a variety of backgrounds. Either you have previous experience from a role as COO or a similar function within a globally operating company, or you come with a background as management- or operational excellence consultant. It is expected that you hold a degree at minimum bachelor’s level in Business Administration or a similar educational background.

You thrive in the field between the operational and the strategic level and has the desire to become part of a smaller company on an exciting growth journey. It will be an advantage if you bring Business Development experience in an international context and ideally with a solid understanding of the North American market. Besides the above-mentioned competencies and experience we expect that you are fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English.
