Green Hydrogen Systems A/S is ready to capture a position as a world leader in the development and production of electrolysis systems that use power from renewable energy and water to produce green hydrogen.

With solid owners, A.P. Moller Holding, Nordic Alpha Partners, and Norlys Holding, and close cooperation with major Danish and foreign partners in the energy market, the foundation is in place. To drive and develop the market and meet the demand from customers and other stakeholders they are ramping up the organization as well as the production facilities. 

Focus is therefor to execute on their plan for growth and value creation from continued investments in R&D, manufacturing capacity and talented employees. Compass Human Resources Group is helping Green Hydrogen Systems finding new talents in the aim for succeeding with the company vision; to pioneer the field of green hydrogen to drive a sustainable global energy transition.

By 2023 the new facilities will be fully expanded, optimized, and ramped up and will increase the company’s current yearly capacity from 75 MW to 400 MW worth of electrolysers. In subsequent phases, the facilities can be further scaled to manufacture electrolysers with 1,000 MW capacity a year as demand for Green Hydrogen Systems’ electrolysers continues to grow. This expansion is an important step in their plans to scale the company to deliver electrolysis solutions that lower the levelized cost of hydrogen and drive energy transition. The new facilities will position Green Hydrogen Systems as a gigawatt provider of electrolysis equipment.

With its wide range of possible applications, green hydrogen plays a key role in the ongoing fundamental shift in energy systems towards a net-zero emission society in 2050. As a result, the demand for green hydrogen is surging, requiring a significant scale-up of electrolysis capacity.

Product Development & Technology

In “Production Development & Technology” they constantly work with the technological development to position the company as the leader in the innovative electrolysis plants to produce green hydrogen based on renewable energy. The focus is on industrializing the new HyProvide X-Series Containerized solution that can produce more MW than the current solution.

Operations & Supply Chain

Focus in the “Operations & Supply Chain” organization is to lead and secure the ramp up on production facilities to meet surging demand. The Nordager production site is designed to be a standardized factory blueprint for efficient construction of additional production sites once commercially substantiated by order pipeline​.

Their modern manufacturing, R&D and office facility in Kolding, Denmark, is armed with production and testing equipment to optimize manufacturing and provide the highest levels of quality and safety. The 4,500 m2 facility with a production capacity of 75 MW per year completes the first phase of their expansion plan. Next phase of production facilities expansion to 400 MW is initiated.
