Business Manager – take part in creating our commercial future!
Do you want an important role in a challenging and exciting commercial journey that we have just commenced? Do you want to contribute to the creation and set up of our new structure and influence our commercial footprint? Then you might be our new Business Manager, Rest of World (RoW).

Join our transformative journey
At Bavarian Nordic we develop innovative and safe vaccines, to treat and prevent cancer and infectious diseases. Our aim is to improve health and quality of life for children and adults around the world. We take it for granted that you will share this critical mission with us.

With our recent acquisition of two established commercial vaccines and the FDA-approval of our smallpox vaccine, we have embarked upon a truly transformative journey to become one of the largest pure-play vaccine companies in the world. We base this on our fundamental vision of improving and saving lives by excelling in R&D innovation, full value-chain manufacturing and commercial excellence. With the future completion of our fill and finish facility we will be able to carry out all parts of the value chain in vaccine manufacturing, and as part of this progressive journey we are now looking for a Business Manager, RoW.

Sustainable and profitable growth
You will become part of our lean, strong and diverse commercial team which we are strengthening even further with this position. Currently, we are a growing team of approximately 15 people who strive to bring innovative solutions to both our customers and patients and since this department is of high strategic importance, we expect the team to expand with more talents. Our goal is to demonstrate sustainable and profitable growth and further expand our commercial portfolio. You will report to Jesper Elsgaard (Sr. Director, RoW) who is one of four senior commercial directors in Bavarian Nordic and who reports directly to the CCO.

Defining the commercial setup
Your main target will be, together with the Sr. Director RoW, to ensure the markets in the RoW-region are turned into operational efficient profit centres. To ensure this, you will among other areas be the main driver of:

  • Strategic market analyses and turning these into specific action plans
  • Business model creation for commercial partner or distributor setups in approximately 20 different geographical markets
  • Strategic support to internal stakeholders e.g. Sr. Director RoW, the wider Commercial Leadership Team or the Executive Management Team
  • Communication/collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
  • Develop, implement and execute on monthly reporting tasks
