Bavarian Nordic is on a growth journey with the introduction of several new products. This means that the company is in the process of scaling up its production capabilities. Hence, they are increasing the number of employees in their production. Due to this increase in employees, they are creating a new team of Operators in the production, and they are looking for a skilled and experienced manager to head this team. You will become part of the Drug Substance organization that currently consists of approximately 260 people. You will report to Senior Manager, Elise Møller who currently has two team leaders reporting to her.
As Cell Production Manager, you will play a key role in the Drug Substance department leading your team, which is one of three teams responsible for the production of materials for vaccine production. You will lead 12 employees in your team, and they will over the course of the summer and early autumn in 2024, transition into new shifts as well as increase the number of batches running weekly.
With a keen eye for improvement, you will support the operators, offering assistance wherever needed and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. You will maintain an optimization-focused mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to improve production efficiency and output.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Provide visible daily leadership & management of teams
- Enable team members through sparring and coaching
- Conduct yearly, monthly, and daily planning of production and support functions for production
- Oversee the manning in the team and evaluate if the manning is appropriate
- Secure GMP compliance according to procedure requirements
- Manage employees’ competencies and training status to be able to meet the tasks of the team
- Development of individual team members and the team as a whole
- Support to other managers
- Participate in and support audits
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive actions
- Run projects to improve flow in production
- Participate in corporate projects
You must maintain a high level of drive and commitment so that your team performs well together and delivers the best possible effort in production. It is crucial that you can motivate and engage your employees, preferably through your strong commitment. You must thrive in a changing environment and be ready to apply change management principles in your leadership and management of your employees.
