Embedded Software Engineer

Turf Tank has developed the first robot for line marking within the world of outdoor sports. The product is revolutionary and is now redeeming its huge potential Worldwide. In the US alone 900 Turf Tank robots are marking sport fields.
On behalf of Turf Tank, we are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who is ready for new and exciting challenges. As the new Embedded Software Engineer at Turf Tank, you will work with low-level control of sensors, motors, etc. via a STM32 microprocessor. Based on the ongoing growth journey, there will also be plenty of opportunities to get to know other domains in the development department. The right person can also work with more high-level development of their cutting-edge software platform which is based on ROS2.
The position is hands-on, and it is therefore expected that most of your working time is spent on development. There will be a broad interdisciplinary collaboration between you and the rest of the team, in particular between the mechanics and electronics teams. The right candidate is also expected to make a significant contribution to the development of their robot platform.
Who you are
We are looking for a person who is good at working independently and in teams, as well as with others across domains. Furthermore, you know the good outcome of giving and receiving constructive feedback. As Turf Tank is an international company and you have colleagues worldwide, you are strong in English, both written and spoken. It is not expected that you speak Danish.
Furthermore, you bring a lot of practical experience and can come from other similar positions and/or projects. There are no specific requirements for your education – you will only be assessed on your experience and ability to solve relevant tasks. A long-term technical education is a plus though. In addition, you also have skills within:
- Experience with STM32 microcontroller processors or other similar platforms
- Solid practical experience with Linux (preferably Debian-based)
- Experience with boot loader development
- Preferred knowledge of real-time systems
- Knowledge of BLDC motor control is a plus
- Good understanding of hardware
- Expert in C/C++
- Practical experience with Git
