In February 2023, Swedish Match was acquired by the American multinational tobacco company, Philip Morris International (PMI). Following this strategic takeover, the Danish finance department has experienced an increased focus on intercompany reporting because of more group-related tasks being introduced in the daily finance operations. Therefore, they are now searching for an experienced Financial Controller, who thrives in a complex international organizational setup with a strong parent company.
Broad financial role with an international scope
As a Financial Controller, you will be part of an ambitious finance team consisting of five people. You will have the opportunity to utilize your substantial experience in the finance field, and work broadly across various financial tasks, including financial controlling, preparation of monthly and annual reports, as well as tax, VAT, and excise duties. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to stay updated on current Danish and international accounting principles and ensure compliance within the company. Your tasks will primarily focus on the Danish entity, but you will naturally collaborate with colleagues at Swedish Match in Sweden and PMI in America, coordinating projects across the group.
Analytical professional with a strong financial background
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience who has strong financial expertise and broad experience in the field. You may currently be working in auditing, where you have been involved in everything from annual reporting and internal controls to tax, VAT, and excise duties, and now see yourself transitioning to the corporate side. Alternatively, you might already be in a similar role, seeking to utilize your solid finance acumen in an international matrix organization with endless opportunities for development and growth. You have a solid business understanding, preferably experience with production, and strong proficiency in utilizing ERP-systems to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
