We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Nordic operations to further success.

Forbo Siegling, part of the Forbo Movement Systems group, a corporation with a global market presence. We have production sites and assembly operations in multiple countries, distribution companies worldwide, and a dedicated team of over 2 500 employees. Our commitment to environmental sustainability drives us to develop groundbreaking products, such as our recently developed bio-degradable conveyor belt made from renewable materials.

Role and Responsibilities:

As the General Manager Nordic, you will be responsible for leading and managing our operations in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. You will report to the President EMEA and work closely with our international management team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring the sales and service teams to achieve their best performance and contribute to the company’s commercial success
  • Developing and implementing sales and business development strategies aligned with the divisional goals
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
  • Ensuring efficient fabrication and service processes with high productivity and quality standards
  • Providing clear sales management and delivering profitable sales performance according to annual budgets
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to drive business growth and implement strategic initiatives

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management or in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within a production company with a sales and service organization
  • Strong business acumen and market focus, with the ability to execute strategic plans
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and driving positive cultural change
  • Proven track record in sales management, customer relationship management, and achieving sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with industrial processes and products, preferably within the segments of food, raw materials, industrial production, and logistics
  • Experience with SAP and CRM systems is a plus
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written and English on a professional level. Danish, or Norwegian is beneficial and German language skills is a plus.

Practical details:

  • Workplace: Kållered, Sweden (Gothenburg area)
  • Travel activity: Approximately 50 days with overnight stays
