Lead pipeline and portfolio
Commercial and very visible entrepreneurial role
You will take on a pivotal role in extending Contera Pharma’s pipeline through key partnerships and licensing agreements of other high-potential drug candidates, thereby ensuring the value growth of the company. From the headquarters in Copenhagen and in close collaboration with international colleagues, you will proactively scout for opportunities, evaluate their potential, and close the deals.
Leadership team- Shepherding project progress and success
Reporting to the CEO in Denmark, you will be part of the leadership team to set the future direction of Contera Pharma. You will support strategic discussions, decision-making and communications and align between key stakeholders such as clinical experts, licensing partners, potential investors, shareholders and employees.
Build and grow a strong company culture
Investment in people and culture is essential in building a successful business and you will play a key role in bridging the cross-cultural collaboration between Contera Pharma headquarters in Copenhagen, the branch office in Seoul, the current major shareholder, Bukwang Pharmaceuticals and future shareholders. You will have an essential role in the transformation of Contera into a more established company.
Your main tasks are:
- Develop partnering strategies and business plans based on company strategy
- Drive business development and partner deals
- Search and evaluate drug candidates and align overall communication efforts to all potential stakeholders
Most likely, you have a scientific degree within a relevant field such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, or you might have a commercial degree and substantial experience evaluating scientific opportunities. A Ph. D and/or an MBA is also preferred. You have at least 2-6 years’ experience with business development from pharma or biotech and experience across multiple functions (e.g. Non-clinical, CMC, Clinical Operations and/or Regulatory Affairs) and in deal making (licensing in / licensing out / investment / research collaboration). Additionally, you have pharmaceutical R&D knowledge and international experience – preferably in an entrepreneurial role. Finally, you must have strong leadership skills, a commercial and open mindset and have influenced the culture building in young organisations. You speak English fluently, and have the flexibility to travel frequently.
