The total marketing responsibility for a strong brand on two Scandinavian markets.

Your efforts are important for the continued success!

As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for further developing and implementing Tarkett’s marketing strategy on the Danish and the Norwegian markets and ensuring a continous strength-ening of the brands and their values in the industry.

Your most important tasks will be to create the strategic overview for the marketing department, as well as handle the campaign planning with e.g., the company’s key accounts. Hence it is important that you both have the strategic overview, but at the same time can be a project manager on larger, operational marketing tasks.

You anticipate local market trends and needs of the customers to conceive the best flooring solutions (product & design & services) and actively promote them, in the most profitable way.

You define and implement the Country Marketing Plan (incl. cost Budget) to contribute to:

  • Business development: Plan and Implement product launches (together with the Marcom team, Sales Networks & Sustainability Team)
  • Brand building: Ensure that it reflects Tarkett brand values (sustainability, design…) and develop an activity plan focusing on key Routes to Market: Specifiers (architects, designers, end-users) and retail.

Strategic as well as operational overview

Based at the Danish company’s office in Hedehusene, you report to Tarkett’s Nordic CMO in Stockholm and work closely on a daily basis with the Danish and Norwegian management group, your marketing coordinators (one in each country) – and the rest of the Nordic marketing team as well as the EMEA marketing team.

You are part of the local management teams and will be responsible for maintaining and further developing the strength and position of the Tarkett brand in Denmark and Norway. From a marketing perspective great opportunities are lying ahead to influence the content of the company’s marketing efforts on the two markets in question.

Your tasks will be many and very versatile and include, among other things:

Obtaining solid local market and business intelligence on topics related to construction business, flooring market, design community, sustainability etc

  • Understand customers and stakeholders’ needs, expectations and purchase drivers for the different Product Categories, Route to Markets and Segments.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze competitor activities and market trends within the Category.

Being responsible for the local operational marketing plan for the different RTM and Segments:

  • Define, implement, and monitor product launches and activity plan (PR, traditional & Professional Media, SoMe, collaborations, activities and events, Showroom…)
  • Drive PA on local level
  • Marketing Budget

Providing regular information, marketing tools and product trainings to the Sales Force. You collect input and needs to be implemented in Product or Activities plans.

As a member of the Local management teams (Denmark & Norway), you contribute to the definition of the local Strategic Plan.

You keep the overview and have a distinct focus on details 

In order to be successful in the job we prefer that you hold a Master’s degree, however, it is essential that you have experience in marketing, preferably both from the B2B as from the B2C market including marketing towards chain stores. Your experience can come from different industries, but if If you have experience from the flooring or furniture industry, it will be an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you know what it takes to create an effective marketing department and get the most out of the budget available and can adapt an international culture and guidelines to local consumers and aesthetics.

As a person, you are outgoing and have a high drive. You set the direction and are goal oriented. You have an open and trust-inspiring approach to other people. communicate in a clear and direct manner and your approach to work is characterized by structure and an explicit overview,
