As the Operational Excellence Supporter at Bavarian Nordic, your role is crucial in enabling the Operational Excellence Partner to advance continuous improvement and operational excellence (Opex) across the organization.
You will be instrumental in supporting Opex transformation initiatives, aiming to establish stable and structured production and operations characterized by high quality and a suitable speed.
Therefore, you will spend a significant amount of time with the people directly involved with the production. This is important as Bavarian is going from building the foundation to operating in an established environment. You will serve as a hands-on resource with a deep understanding of production, operations, and Opex methodologies, demonstrating a desire for continuous improvement. Hence, your familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is paramount, as Bavarian Nordic strives to optimize productivity while simultaneously minimizing waste within its manufacturing operation.
As the Operational Excellence supporter, you will train the teams in the fundamental disciplines of operational excellence and lean principles, and subsequently implement these practices where they are most beneficial. This also involves data collection and structuring as well as effective communication skills. Furthermore, being able to visually represent data graphically can be advantageous in conveying complex information to your stakeholders.
Tasks
- Support the OPEX partner
- Conducting regular training in DS OPEX disciplines
- Developing DS OPEX training material
- Process confirmation of DS OPEX systems
- Support the development and implementation of DS standard work
- Developing, implementing, and driving:
- Production performance data dashboard in Power BI
- DS OPEX intranet page
- Communication of DS OPEX activities
Bavarian Nordic uses Dynamics 365 and MS Power BI, so it will be an advantage if you are familiar with working in these systems. You will be developing, implementing, and driving production performance data dashboards in MS Power BI while also being responsible for the Drug Substance Operational Excellence intranet page.
Collaboration is key, as this role involves working closely with teams to co-create solutions tailored to their specific needs. You will act as a coach, providing guidance, support, and patience while empowering teams to take ownership of the improvement process. Furthermore, a transformational mindset and a deep understanding of process improvement methodologies are essential for success in this role.
