Compass Human Resources Group is one of the largest executive search companies in the Nordics. Our team of 80 highly skilled people are based in the UK and the four Nordic countries, and together we cover six different Industry Practices. A significant part of Compass’ success is our ability to identify and engage with candidates that match the requirements of our clients, no matter how difficult it might be to find them. As a researcher, your main responsibility is to map relevant target companies and candidates, subsequently approach the candidates, and carry out initial telephone interviews.
You will become a part of our growing team in London and work closely together with our consultants on a range of exciting international search assignments at management and senior specialist level. We work across a number of industries and countries throughout Europe and beyond, which makes the role especially diverse, challenging and exciting.
As a key member of the team you will be the first point of contact with candidates through written and phone dialogues, in which you will be responsible for attracting them to and screening them for a range of roles. You will also participate in profile analyses, meetings with clients, carry out desk research on target companies and candidates, and assist the team with various administrative tasks. You will have daily interactions with our research organisation in Denmark and cooperate with them on selected assignments in the Nordics.
Impact, integrity, and organisational awareness
You have excellent telephone etiquette and skills, and a documented ability to make in impact on proactive phone tasks. You will combine this with strong commercial and organisational awareness in order to competently assess the match between the role and candidate. You might have experience working with search in a similar role, or other roles requiring significant proactive phone interactions. You probably have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in international business or a similar, but a range of educational backgrounds will be considered.
To succeed in this role, it is vital that you are independent, structured, dynamic, and analytically minded. You will have a great level of freedom and independence in your tasks, which requires a creative and tenacious person, who keeps going and finds new solutions when things look difficult. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills mean that you are competent at conversing with people in a professional manner, regardless of organisational level and cultural background.
