Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) offers an opportunity to enter an exciting role as Sales Engineer in the Norwegian part of the Nordic Sales organisation.

Due to growth in the organisation’s overall activity, WMFTG is now looking to strengthen the Norwegian-based sales team with a Field-based Sales Engineer focusing on the Food & Beverages and Process Industries sectors.

The role will be part of a local team of three salespeople and while you will be focusing mainly on the Food & Beverages sector. Additionally, you will assist your team in increasing sales in the industrial sectors, so this is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge.

You will be fully trained on the products and services; however, a basic understanding of sanitary practices in food processing and applications and the Food & Beverage sector is essential, and a basic understanding of fluid control products, process capital equipment and the applications in the process markets are beneficial.

This position offers several exciting and challenging tasks, including:

  • Strengthening the relationship with clients in the Food & Beverages and Process Industries market and building on the existing client portfolio across Norway.
  • You are able to facilitate meeting the right stakeholders with the clients and understand their needs perfectly to provide them with the best fitting high-quality solution Watson-Marlow has to offer.
  • You will succeed in deepening and strengthening existing relationships with clients in the process industries.
  • Build a portfolio of new clients within the sectors you are responsible for.
  • You will be able to develop reports quickly and be at ease discussing the technical capabilities of our products.

Strong technical understanding and commercial abilities

Ideally, you have a technical degree and field sales experience from a similar segment to Watson Marlow, ideally within sanitary processing equipment or fluid control. You have a sound technical understanding and are able to speak to clients at both the operational and the strategical levels. You can show a successful track history of selling premium products using a consultative sales process, and you have a good understanding of technical sales.

As a person, you are positive and solution-oriented, you have a great drive, and take pride in delivering according to your deadlines. Furthermore, you have strong interpersonal and communicative skills, and you master English on a high professional level.
