The position as Senior HR Business Partner UK gives you an opportunity to become part of an international healthcare company with leading market positions in 13 countries. This is a newly created position, following the acquisition of Bunzl Healthcare including its flagship brand – 365 Healthcare. We are looking for a person who can take charge of building a suitable HR setup and lead all HR efforts across the UK business as well as acting as a strong business partner to the management team in the UK on recruitment processes, legal cases, and development of leadership capabilities and talent. You will play a key role in the integration of the newly acquired business and not least in successfully integrating the Mediq company culture into the combined UK business.
As Senior HR Business Partner UK, you will be responsible for ensuring operational and legal compliance for the legal entities in the UK. You confidently develop and mature local HR processes, structures, and policies, and ensure strong alignment between local and regional/company-wide HR processes in Mediq. Also, you keep on top of legal changes in local employment law, e.g., on benefit structures, holiday entitlement, notice periods etc.
The job assignment includes but is not limited to:
- Translation of business strategy to high impact HR initiatives
- Driving people and talent development activities
- Acting as a partner to people managers
- Supporting leadership development initiatives
- Managing recruitment and onboarding processes end to end
- Driving performance management processes
- Managing the classical annual HR wheel activities, work environment, etc.
- Define and drive employer branding activities
- Implementing and policing HR processes and programs on all levels of the business
- Responsible for people related internal communication
Have you worked in a similar setup?
To succeed in this role, it is imperative to have a good understanding and experience of the UK labour market and unions, a strong HR toolbox and ideally experience with setting up an HR function. As a person you are outgoing, enjoy being the sparring partner for the management team and thrive with organisational development where you ensure that top talents are identified and nourished.
You are a strong listener and a pragmatic, robust problem-solver with a hands-on approach to your work and thrive in an ever-changing environment with stakeholders with high demands. You possess excellent leadership and communication skills, have a strong commercial awareness and are comfortable with supporting organisations with a variety of office and non-office functions.
