Inter Primo A/S is looking for a specialist within strategic procurement. The company operates internationally and wants to reinforce the synergies across the individual entities. The Materials and Procurement department is therefore creating a global dream team consisting of Category Managers and Material Specialists who will drive and align strategic procurement activities for all Primo sites. You can become part of the global team and thereby continue to build a strong career within procurement by assisting in taking it to the next level.

Strategic category management, international stakeholders, negotiations & agreements

As a Strategic Purchaser you will become part of an international team responsible for all strategic procurement activities within the Primo Group. The team is responsible for setting strategies for more than 25 global categories representing 85% of the total spend. The Strategic Purchaser is a commercial expert within the supply market, heads negotiations and agreements with suppliers and handles all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management. In a team structure together with material engineers you will have a key role assisting Sales and Project Management in serving clients and ensure that the sustainability agenda is adhered to.

Besides the globally oriented Category Management you will be responsible for local categories as the Strategic Purchaser at one of the largest companies in the Primo Group. Within local categories there are no synergies across the group, and you drive these together with local stakeholders. This part of the job entails a hands-on part with close interaction with the local supply chain and project team in Primo and assignments like data gathering and analysis.

Experienced Procurement Professional with industry background – a good merchant!

You have an educational background within procurement or similar. You have a professional background from a manufacturing company, and you are used to operating on the international scene with a professional procurement set-up. You can demonstrate at least 5 years from that environment. You have been part of procurement projects and are used to negotiating agreements and prices at most levels. Primo being a plastics enterprise, knowledge of plastics is advantage, but – important to stress – not a requirement.

As the good merchant you are, you have achieved commercial results and contributed well in earlier positions. You thrive with the commercial side of the business and as a person you can demonstrate a good business acumen. Furthermore, you manage both internal and external stakeholders, you are a good team-player, and you work through a structured and organised approach. Your communicative style is well received and shows a good dose of service-mindedness. You can navigate a complex working day with many different stakeholders, small tasks and big assignments and projects without losing the overview.
