Join a centralized powerhouse driving the strategy towards 2026

As Strategy Deployment Lead, you will join the recently established Global Strategy & Business Development team, a centralized powerhouse driving the strategy towards 2026. The team supports Abacus Medicine’s three business units and consists of service areas with clear value propositions – that in combination constitutes a powerful execution muscle.

Establish, Implement, and run the Annual Strategy Wheel

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and running the annual strategy wheel. The annual strategy wheel will serve as the backbone of Abacus Medicine’s strategic planning efforts and enable the tracking of performance and assessment of the effectiveness of current strategies. As both the Global Strategy & Business Development team and this position is newly established, there will be a big emphasis on getting the annual strategy wheel up and running while adding and adjusting processes along the way.  Therefore, you must possess a strong analytical skillset in order to identify opportunities for improvement and adjusting the strategic direction as needed.

Additionally, your tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to Abacus Medicine’s three business units and executive management, providing valuable insights, offering strategic counsel, and collaborating with key decision-makers.
  • Independently follow up on projects and processes within the organization, requiring a balance of solid analytical and emotional intelligence, along with strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various layers of the organization.
  • Preparing supporting materials to facilitate strategic discussions within the Management team and Board of Directors. These materials will serve as a cornerstone for informed decision-making, transforming complex data and insights into clear and actionable information.

Strategic expertise and a conceptual and analytical mindset

In order to succeed in the role, you must hold a relevant master’s degree with proven experience as a strategist, preferably with +2 years’ experience from management consulting or a strategy function. Moreover, you have:

  • Experience in establishing, implementing, and running projects and processes independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong conceptual, analytical and commercial mindset.
  • An independent and structured approach
  • Good sense of curiosity and drive.
