Sustainability within Boliden means to evaluate environmental impacts, take social considerations, and secure lasting results.
Boliden Group has operations in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland. We are now looking for a Sustainability Controller to the Group Sustainability team.
Task and duties
This role involves managing reporting and analyzing topics within the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas for Boliden Group. It also includes being updated on international guidelines and targets and to have internal and external stakeholder dialogues to ensure that different demands and expectations are taken into account.
You will be responsible for
- Process ownership of the Sustainability reporting & follow-up process
- Manage the Annual and Sustainability report in accordance with ÅRL (Sustainability part)
- Follow up on ESG external reporting and analyze the data in order to communicate gaps to responsible function. (Reporting questionnaires from investors etc.)
- Integrate Sustainability in each function/process
- Manage Materiality assessments (Double materiality) process
- Manage Stakeholder reviews
- Perform internal and external communication
- Follow up on Green investments reporting
The Sustainability Controller will work closely with the Sustainability organization on Group and Business Area level and will also liaise with multiple Group functions to assess and help implement the sustainability reporting processes.
Who are you?
The Sustainability Controller should be passionate about creating and implementing changes that will support our vision. We are looking for a colleague who has knowledge of reporting and analyzing ESG topics (Environment, Social and Governance) since you will be the process owner for the ESG reporting for Boliden. We expect you to drive improvements within the reporting area. We assume that you share our basic values, core, courage and responsibility. In Boliden, all employees are actively involved in achieving a safe and good work environment and health & safety issues are top priority.
Academic degree and at least a couple of years of relevant work experience within the area. You have probably worked within a Finance function in a pro-active role supporting the business with analyzes and reporting to follow and improve performance.
Understanding, speaking, writing, and presenting in English. Knowledge in the Swedish and Finnish language is a strong merit.
A solid controlling background combined with a good understanding of general sustainability concepts, including social and environmental standards. Experience with data visualization and data analysis. Experience from similar position in other industries is considered a merit.
You have strong logical skills, take initiative, are result oriented and a team player with good social skills. You are inspired by problem solving and continuous improvements and have the courage and creativeness to propose new solutions.
