Green Hydrogen Systems
As one of the newest members of a growing R&D department placed in the Process team, you will be responsible for the development of cooling systems for Green Hydrogen Systems’ pressurised alkaline electrolysis plants.
Areas of responsibility
You are engaged in everything from the first lines written down on paper until the entire cooling system is tested and ready for series production. You will furthermore be engaged in optimisation of existing designs.
With your extensive experience in thermal systems and component knowledge, you will contribute to our electrolysis system having a reliable, safe and energy- and cost-efficient cooling system.
In addition to the professional sparring in the Process team, you will also work with the rest of the R&D department, which includes teams within mechanics, electrical / software, and compliance.
The position requires great professional knowledge and effective interaction with colleagues as well as the Supply Chain. With your broad experience/knowledge within e.g. thermal systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, you will help to develop and raise the competencies across the company and ensure the continued further development of the company’s leading technology.
Specific work tasks
- Calculation and analysis of cooling systems, including mass and energy balances
- Dimensioning of refrigeration systems (pipes, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.)
- Contact with subcontractors regarding technical specifications
- Identification and selection of components (valves, sensors, expansion vessels, etc.)
- Preparation of P&ID, PFD, specifications, test descriptions and documentation
- Establishment of production basis for GHS Supply Chain
- Preparation of function descriptions as input for control and software
- Participation in FMEA and HAZOP
You probably have an engineering degree within Thermal Energy, Process, Mechanical or similar and have been within the field for minimum 7 years – preferably from a production company.
With your experience in thermal systems and component knowledge, you will contribute to our electrolysis system having a reliable, safe and energy- and cost-efficient cooling system. To succeed, you need to have great knowledge/competence within thermal systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and pump theory.
It is also important that you have experience with product development, numerical modelling, and production documentation. Furthermore, you have a strong understanding of ECO and other forms of change procedure /release for production.
In developing the cooling systems, you are an empathic and transparent communicator. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, projects, and colleagues. As GHS as an organisation is developing quite rapidly, it is also important that you can stay focused in a changeable and busy environment.
