Structured and Culturally strong Sales Director for a truly international role

Central people manager role taking internal sales and sales support to the next level

As CSO, you will take up a leading role in Advansor, being overall responsible for all sales – regional sales, sales engineering and customer support. You will have full responsibility of +40 people and direct reference from 11 people. You will be reporting to the CEO and be part of the management team.

You will have the responsibility of Advansor’s centralised sales model, where everything from quoting to handling logistics and daily customer relations is driven from the Sales Engineering and Customer Support departments in Aarhus – despite approx. 95% of sales is export. This is manageable because the employees have different nationalities and as such, speak different languages, offering a unique opportunity for you to work in an international environment close to home.

In Sales Engineering and Customer Support you will have three team leads reporting directly to you, and your main focus will be to manage and coach these to ensure focused teams and high performance . As such, you will work closely with your colleagues on cross-organisational matters and have a direct impact on the further development of Advansor.

Regional Sales is divided into 7 regions with a responsible manager in each of them. As CSO you will be responsible for setting clear directions, follow up on activities as well as giving guidance and support to a sales force ‘far from home’. Ensuring a smooth transition of customers between regional and sales engineering is a key parameter for success. You will be leading quarterly meetings where everyone is gathered in Aarhus and have individual follow-ups on a more frequent schedule. Therefore, your travel activities will be limited, however 25-30 days a year can be expected.

Commercially minded with international experience

We are looking for a  sales-oriented people manager with experience from a similar role. We expect you to have extensive experience with B2B sales, preferably from an international environment, where you have gained a good understanding of cultural differences. Perhaps you have a technical background, alternatively you possess a high degree of technical understanding, enabling you to fully understand the complexity of the products. You have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are commercially minded, proactive and chase opportunities whenever you discover them. You are ambitious and strive for excellent results, and with your strong interpersonal skills, you can coach your employees to perform their very best. You thrive in an international environment and are able to utilise the strengths of a culturally diverse team.
