Green Hydrogen Systems is looking for a Platform Development Engineer to the Platform Team. You will be part of a product development and maintenance team in a company with full speed ahead to succeed with an ambitious green agenda.

In collaboration with our development team, you will work with problem solving, maintenance and further developing on mechanical solutions and designs to support current and future product program. The position requires effective interaction for transfer of knowledge and specifications across the company to ensure documented maintenance of the production base with a focus on the mechanical part of the plant. To put it simply, you will play a key role for GHS’s green agenda.

Areas of responsibility

  • Responsibility for the product when it is released, which involves optimisations in relation to production in terms of how the product can be assembled faster, become safer or cheaper to produce – in other words: keep the products alive
  • Root Cause analyses and development of corrective actions and designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc.
  • Making design for manufacturing and service
  • Deliver according to CE and ISO9001

Specific work tasks

  • Implementation of new solutions in ongoing production
  • Handling the mechanical design for existing products
  • Root Cause analyses and development of corrective actions and designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc.
  • Technical support for new development projects in the team, including strength calculations, specifications, documentation and BOMs
  • 3D modelling and 2D drawing in Solid Works as documentation
  • 3D layout of components in the electrolyser
  • Selection of mechanical components
  • Support sourcing regarding technical specifications
  • Establishment of relevant production base for sourcing

Success criteria

To be successful in this position, you can develop new innovative designs to remedy challenges in production, service, at customers, etc., that are safe, faster to assemble and cost-effective. Furthermore, you ensure the establishment of a documented and controlled production base for use in production, just as you contribute to an effective collaboration across the organisation.


You have a mechanical engineering background and experience with mechanical designs. You come with practical experience within design, strength calculation and development as well as maintenance of mechanical solutions supporting process chemical challenges. You are experienced in creating and maintaining technical documentation in 3D and 2D, In addition, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of SolidWorks and PDM or similar CAD-software. You are familiar with the use of FMEA and HAZOP, and you have some knowledge of the requirements of PED 2014/68/EU. Preferably, you have knowledge of piping, tubing, and pressurised equipment. You can communicate in English, verbally and in written.

As a person, you are self-driven and enterprising. You are flexible and know how to prioritise your tasks correctly, just as you are a skilled trouble-shooter. You like working in an agile and fast-paced environment, and you take responsibility for progress. Finally, you are a team player, a good communicator and able to work across the entire organisation.
