Transforming Operations for Growth and Impact
As Business Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing a new office and operational hub in the South West of Greater London. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will build and lead a small, high-performing team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across customer service, warehouse, fulfilment, and office administration. Your focus will be on supporting future sales growth, optimizing processes, and delivering outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with regional and international teams, acting as the primary point of contact for UK operations. Your remit will include implementing and monitoring quality control measures, managing inventory and consignment stock, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and internal controls.
A Visible Leader with Operational Acumen
We are seeking an action-oriented, adaptable, and detail-driven professional with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar operational role – deally within Life Science or related regulated industry. You will be exceptionally organized, possess strong business judgement, and thrive in a dynamic environment where you can make decisions with limited information and manage change with confidence.
Experience in B2B customer service, inventory management, and operational strategy is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com will be a distinct advantage. You will be a dependable team player, able to build strong partnerships with customers and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Customer Service & Warehouse team
- Oversee end-to-end order processing, inventory management, and fulfilment
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure high service standards
- Manage internal systems and databases for customers, vendors, and employees
- Coordinate with international teams on quality, regulatory, and logistics matters
- Support marketing and training events, and contribute to cost optimization
- Support Quality Management Systems and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Implement operational strategies and analyze performance data for continuous improvement
- Uphold the company’s values and contribute to a positive, high-performing culture
Your Experience and Approach
You have at least ten years’ experience in a similar operational role, ideally within a regulated industry. You are organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in dynamic environments. With hands-on leadership experience and strong business judgement, you are comfortable managing teams, processes, and change. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with business systems are essential, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 or CRM platforms is a plus. Above all, you bring integrity, adaptability, and a passion for making a real impact.
