Facility & Project Manager, Danmark
SATS
SATS is seeking to appoint a new Facility & Project Manager to lead and strengthen the properties and overall user experience of SATS Denmark. This role is critical for ensuring the company’s continuous development in terms of facility and equipment.
The Facility & Project Manager will play a key role in implementing the SATS Fitness concepts in new and existing centers, as well as optimizing the use of training areas.
Your role as Facility & Project Manager
As Facility & Project Manager, you will lead a maintenance team of 3 FTEs and report directly to the Country Manager, with a dotted line to the Nordic Head of Concept & Equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day club operations while acting as the local project lead on renovations, refurbishments, and concept upgrades across the Danish market.
You hold overall responsibility for buildings, facilities, and equipment, including P&L ownership of OPEX and close collaboration with Finance on CAPEX. A core part of the role is ensuring high operational standards across all 28 clubs, optimising maintenance, cost structures, and supplier agreements, while translating Nordic concepts into efficient local execution.
You will manage facility operations end-to-end, including maintenance, utilities, and external suppliers across technical disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems. You are responsible for compliance with Danish building regulations and physical safety requirements, including fire plans, escape route documentation, and emergency procedures. You manage landlord relations on facility and maintenance matters, including coordination on shared building systems such as central heating, water pressure, and utility infrastructure.
In parallel, you drive project execution across refurbishments, reinvestments, and new club openings, always with a strong focus on quality, cost control, and minimising operational disruption. Working closely with Operations and the Nordic Concept Department, you are also responsible for equipment management, ensuring optimal uptime, lifecycle planning, spare parts inventory, and space utilisation to support both member experience and operational flow.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Own day-to-day facility operations and ensure high physical standards across all clubs
• Manage suppliers and contractors across technical disciplines, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery
• Oversee physical safety compliance, including fire plans, escape routes, and building regulations
• Manage landlord relations on maintenance and shared building infrastructure
• Plan and execute renovations, refurbishments, and concept upgrades as local project manager
• Lead new club openings and major reinvestments from planning to handover
• Manage fitness equipment across all clubs, including maintenance, replacement planning, and warehouse logistics
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance to optimise OPEX and CAPEX performance
• Contribute to Nordic standards while ensuring compliance with Danish regulations
The ideal candidate:
• Has a background in facility management, building services, or construction, with the technical credibility to hold informed conversations with contractors and suppliers on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural matters. Hands-on execution is not expected, but technical depth is.
• Has minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including people management and supplier or contractor responsibility.
• Has experience from consumer-driven, fast-moving environments, fitness, retail, or similar. Understanding how club operations work and what Operations teams need from facilities is a significant advantage. If you work out yourself, that understanding comes naturally.
• Demonstrates strong stakeholder management and project leadership, with a track record of delivering complex, multi-party projects on time and within budget.
• Has a strong cost management mindset, comfortable working with OPEX and CAPEX budgets in close collaboration with Finance.
• Is familiar with Danish building regulations, safety legislation, and facility compliance requirements.
• Communicates clearly and confidently in Danish and English.
• Is detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
