Head of Human Resources (Europe)

Trimco Group

Do you want to take overall responsibility for the regional HR agenda in a complex, multi-country setup – and play a key role in strengthening governance, compliance and consistency across Europe?

Trimco Group is strengthening its people agenda across Europe and is therefore seeking a hands-on Head of Human Resources (HR) Europe to take end-to-end responsibility for driving and executing the regional HR function. The role is established to support growth, transformation and ongoing integration activities through direct involvement in strategic and operational HR initiatives across a complex European setup – while ensuring strong governance, compliance and consistent people practices.

Driving the European People Agenda in a Global Matrix Organization

As Head of HR Europe, you will act as the senior HR leader in Europe and a trusted business partner to both regional and global stakeholders on people, organisation and talent-related matters. You will report directly to the Global Chief Human resources Officer (based in Hong Kong) and operate in a matrix organisation, where close alignment with Group HR strategy, governance standards and transformation priorities is essential.

From the outset, you will be expected to establish a clear overview of the existing HR organisation, structures and capabilities across the region, and take direct ownership of the priorities and execution. This includes driving initiatives within restructuring, organisational design, talent management, employee relations and operational excellence, in close dialogue with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic HR leadership – Develop and execute the Europe HR strategy in line with Group People Strategy and business objectives, translating global HR frameworks into locally effective, compliant solutions.
  • Change management & transformation – Lead and Directly manage the European people agenda in transformation initiatives (restructuring, integration, operating model changes and post-acquisition activities), ensuring structured change and clear communication.
  • Talent management & leadership development – Own the end-to-end talent lifecycle for Europe and support leaders on performance, leadership effectiveness and difficult people decisions, with a strong focus on talent development and succession planning.
  • Rewards, workforce & organisational effectiveness – Partner with Group Compensation & Benefits on equitable and defensible reward practices, support annual salary review and incentive planning, and drive workforce/organisation reviews for role clarity and scalability.
  • HR operations & regional HR organisation – Lead and develop the European HR team, directly drive operational excellence across hire-to-exit processes, and ensure high-quality HR data, reporting and insights to support decision making.
  • Governance, compliance & risk management – Ensure compliant HR practices across Europe (EU and non-EU) supported by strong documentation, workflows and audit-ready HR practices.

Senior, Business‑Oriented HR Leader with Strong Governance and Transformation Experience

We are looking for a senior, business-oriented HR leader with strong judgement and integrity, motivated by responsibility and the opportunity to shape and develop a regional HR role with significant impact. You bring a solid background in HR governance and compliance, combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, and are comfortable managing both strategic initiatives and being hands on with day-to-day people matters. You operate confidently in complex, multi-country and matrix organisations and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, change and sensitive people matters.

The role combines high complexity with significant influence. A key challenge is ensuring strong compliance, governance and consistency across a fragmented European HR landscape, while supporting ongoing transformation, integration and growth activities. The attraction lies in the trust and mandate to professionalise the European HR function and act as a true business partner close to decision making – with both strategic scope and tangible, hands-on impact.
