ESG Controller
Food Folk Danmark ApS
Are you a data-driven controller looking to apply your skills within sustainability and ESG? Food Folk, the company behind McDonald’s in the Nordics, is seeking a structured and analytical ESG Controller to strengthen their ESG reporting and performance management.
Drive ESG-Reporting
At Food Folk, sustainability is an integral part of the business agenda, and as ESG Controller, you will play a key role in building and managing the data foundation that supports their sustainability strategy, targets, and reporting. You will work closely with the Impact team and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure high-quality ESG data and enable informed decision-making.
This is a unique opportunity to take part in shaping and maturing ESG data processes in a dynamic, international organisation, while remaining closely connected to a broader finance environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop ESG data infrastructure to support reporting, disclosures, and performance tracking
- Ensure collection, validation, consolidation, and maintenance of ESG data across systems
- Support the development of new data flows, master data structures, and basic integrations
- Analyse ESG data and apply standardized methodologies to support strategic planning and target setting
- Prepare insights, dashboards, and reports for internal stakeholders
- Facilitate ESG data collection across the organisation and relevant parts of the value chain, including support for CSRD compliance
- Drive continuous improvement by optimising and automating ESG data processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, transparent, and relevant ESG reporting
- Support the broader finance function with ad hoc analytical and controlling tasks
What Makes This Role Exciting?
This role sits at the intersection of sustainability, data, and business performance, making it ideal for a controller profile motivated by working with ESG-related data. You will play a key role in transforming complex information into meaningful insights and concrete actions that support Food Folk’s sustainability agenda.
You will enter an area that continues to evolve, requiring you to create structure, ensure data quality, and build scalable processes. The role offers broad exposure across the organization and involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience working with financial and/or non-financial data, ideally from a controlling or finance-oriented role
- A strong data and performance mindset, with the ability to create structure in complex and evolving areas
- Experience with data infrastructure, governance, data quality, and data transformation
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools
- A structured, detail-oriented, and proactive approach, with the ability to drive tasks independently
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and levels
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and pragmatic way
Experience with ESG, sustainability reporting, CO₂ accounting, CSRD, SAP, or Product Lifecycle Management systems is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
A relevant degree in finance, economics, business, or similar is preferred.
