Do you want to be part of something that truly makes a difference? At Ipsen, every day is driven by a single purpose – to improve patients’ lives through innovation and care. We are now entering an exciting new chapter in the Nordics with the launch of Iqirvo, a breakthrough therapy for Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a rare and progressive liver disease.

This is your opportunity to join a passionate and purpose-led organization where science meets heart – and where your expertise will directly help patients gain access to life-changing treatments. As our new Key Account Manager – Rare Disease, you’ll play a vital role in shaping Ipsen’s presence in Sweden and building long-term partnerships that drive better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

The Role

As Key Account Manager – Rare Disease, you will lead the introduction and adoption of Iqirvo across your region. Your mission is to build and strengthen long-term partnerships with key stakeholders in hepatology and gastroenterology, drive product uptake, and position Ipsen as a trusted partner in rare disease care.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize Iqirvo’s potential in PBC.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and decision-makers in hepatology and gastroenterology.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand customer needs, deliver tailored solutions, and provide scientific and commercial support.
  • Coordinate and facilitate educational programs, speaker events, and promotional activities to enhance product awareness and drive product utilization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Nordic colleagues to ensure effective implementation of account-specific strategies.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing insights to the management team.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and training sessions to healthcare professionals.
  • Use CRM tools to manage interactions, track progress, and produce accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Stay up to date with clinical data, treatment guidelines, and developments in rare liver diseases.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales or key account management, ideally in specialty care (rare diseases, hepatology, gastroenterology, oncology, or other complex therapy areas).
  • Experience launching new products or driving the adoption of innovative therapies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and optimize territory performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
  • High scientific aptitude with the ability to translate complex data into clear clinical and commercial value.
  • Curious, ambitious, and passionate about digital engagement and new ways of working.

Education & Languages

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field.
  • Certification to work in pharmaceutical sales in Sweden (LIF).
  • Native Swedish speaker with full professional proficiency in English.

Personal Attributes

You are an ambitious and proactive professional with a genuine growth mindset and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact. Collaborative by nature, you thrive in a team-oriented environment and contribute to an open, inclusive, and supportive culture. You are adaptable and resilient, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-evolving launch environment. With an analytical and structured mindset, you take a strategic, forward-looking approach to territory management and long-term success.

Why Join Ipsen?
