Geberit Production Oy, based in Tammisaari, manufactures approximately 550,000 ceramic products annually using highly automated processes and employs 165 people. Geberit Service Oy supports the Finnish organisation by managing finance, HR, IT, and product development services, employing around 20 people. In total, Geberit employs roughly 235 people in Finland, with sales, marketing, and administration located in Vantaa.
Now Geberit is looking for a
MD, Plant Manager
for the Tammisaari plant. The MD, Plant Manager will act as the MD for Geberit Production as well as the MD for Geberit Service Oy.
About the Role:
As the MD, Plant Manager, you will provide overall leadership for Geberit’s Tammisaari factory, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production operations. You will oversee daily plant activities, set and execute strategic and operational objectives, and ensure that production meets the company’s quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery reliability targets.
You are responsible for leading and developing the supervisory team and staff, promoting continuous competence development, and fostering a safe, motivating work environment. Your duties include driving continuous improvement in production processes and material flows, quality improvment programs, implementing lean methods, and successfully executing efficiency-enhancing development.
Additionally, you will ensure all operations comply with the Group’s quality, safety, and environmental standards, while monitoring and reporting key production indicators. You will prepare and manage the plant’s budget, be accountable for its financial performance, and report regularly to Group management.
This role also requires close collaboration with other factories and stakeholders within the Group, representing the plant in dealings with authorities and external partners, and acting as a key link between local production and overall Group strategy.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a people-oriented leader with a proven track record in managing and developing teams, as well as guiding organizations through complex operational environments. You are motivated to drive improvements and lead change, and you have demonstrated experience with full P&L responsibility. You excel at steering factory performance using clear KPIs and are committed to ongoing operational development. Your leadership style is characterized by clarity, empathy, and accountability, fostering a motivated and high-performing workplace culture.
Success in this position requires experience in managing industrial production—preferably in an international setting — as well as a strong understanding of production technology, process development, and lean methodologies. Outstanding people leadership skills and the ability to manage change effectively are essential. The role demands an analytical, goal-oriented, and solution-focused mindset, along with the capacity to make swift, well-justified decisions. Fluency in both Finnish and English is required; proficiency in Swedish is considered an asset.
