To support this growth, the company is now looking for a Senior Manager Operational Control Center (OCC) to lead the transformation of Semco Maritime’s OCC by driving organisational change, strengthening the operating model, and building a high performing collaborative culture that supports future growth.
The Role
As Senior Manager OCC, you will lead and further develop Semco Maritime’s Operational Control Center, supporting a growing portfolio of offshore wind assets. Combining people leadership, operational excellence, and digital innovation, you will be responsible for driving performance, scalability, and continuous improvement while building a high-performing organisation and supporting the growth of Semco Maritime’s renewable energy business. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of the OCC. You will play a key role in maturing the organisation, driving change across teams, and establishing the leadership, governance, and culture needed to support future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Operational Control Center organisation and team.
- Ensure high asset availability, reliability, and operational performance.
- Establish scalable processes, governance frameworks, and operating models.
- Drive automation, digitalisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop data-driven monitoring, reporting, and performance management capabilities.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, service, and technology functions.
- Support the strategic development and expansion of Semco Maritime’s operational services.
- Lead the organisational and cultural transformation to establish a scalable and high performing OCC.
Your Profile
We are looking for a strong people leader with a solid technical understanding of wind farm operations and operational control environments.
You likely bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience within renewable energy, ideally offshore wind.
- Experience with operational management of wind farms and wind turbines.
- Experience from an Operational Control Center environment.
- Proven leadership experience, including building and developing teams.
- Knowledge of Emerson Ovation Green or similar operational systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A structured, analytical, and goal-oriented approach combined with a visible and proactive leadership style.
Location
The role is linked to the Operational Control Center in Emden, Germany. Candidates may be based in Germany or Denmark; however, regular presence in Emden is expected. The role includes international travel of approximately 60 days per year.
