About the Role

As an Asset Manager, you will play a key role in driving the performance of several assets within the portfolio, ensuring each property aligns with the strategic business plan and delivers strong long-term value. Your background can come from a variety of fields, whether technical, financial, or something in between. What truly matters is your ability to build strong customer relationships and see the bigger picture.

In this role, you will take full ownership of your customer portfolio and work closely with the internal Mrec IM team on a wide range of customer projects. Together with the team, you will be involved in project development and the acquisition of new sites. You will continuously identify opportunities for value creation, whether through leasing, capex initiatives, or operational improvements.

As an Asset Manager you will also take part in the development process, working with construction companies, service providers, and architects to ensure planned projects align with the overall asset strategy. Your responsibilities will include overseeing business plans and budgets, monitoring variances, and ensuring day-to-day operations stay on track. You will also lead lease negotiations with both new and existing tenants and manage key external partnerships, including property managers, leasing agents, and service providers, ensuring alignment with the asset’s long-term goals. You will maintain strong relationships with tenants, actively supporting high satisfaction and long-term occupancy.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have at least three years of relevant experience, ideally within the real estate sector or a comparable investment-focused environment, or from a role where you’ve managed similar projects or customer accounts from start to finish. Experience in property management or leasing is considered beneficial, as it demonstrates your ability to understand asset operations and tenant dynamics.  A solid understanding of the drivers behind property valuation and asset performance is essential, enabling you to make data-driven decisions that strengthen the portfolio’s long-term returns.

You hold a relevant technical or business-related Master’s degree. As a team player with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, you can work independently, take initiative, and maintain a results-oriented mindset while still valuing collaboration. Strategic thinking, a structured working style, and the ability to see projects through to completion are crucial. Fluency in Finnish and excellent English skills are required in this position.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a genuine interest in real estate investments and continuous professional development. This role provides strong opportunities for growth for someone eager to deepen their expertise and take on increasing responsibility within asset management.
