On behalf of Stibo DX, we are seeking an experienced VP Engineering to lead the Content & Collaboration domain and play a key role in the company’s continued SaaS transformation journey.

The Opportunity

As VP Engineering, Content & Collaboration, you will lead a key engineering domain responsible for content management, storytelling, ePaper, and newsroom collaboration capabilities across the Cue platform. The role has direct responsibility for three engineering teams comprising approximately 23 employees located across Spain, Denmark, Norway, and Germany.

Reporting directly to the CTO based in Denmark and serving as a member of the Engineering Leadership Team, you will contribute to the continued development of both your domain and the wider engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead and develop a distributed software engineering organisation while ensuring strong execution, organisational maturity, and continuous improvement across teams. The role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence and requires close collaboration with Product Management, Architecture, and other engineering leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing three distributed engineering teams.
• Building a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Developing talent and future engineering leaders.
• Driving engineering effectiveness, execution excellence, and organisational maturity.
• Supporting the continued transition towards SaaS-first delivery models and platform modernisation initiatives.
• Contributing actively to engineering strategy and broader organisational priorities.
• Strengthening alignment across teams, functions, and geographical locations.
• Acting as a role model for leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Acting as a senior leader within the Málaga office, helping foster community, collaboration, and a strong culture.

The Ideal Candidate

You bring solid leadership experience from software engineering organisations and have successfully led distributed teams in an international environment. Experience with SaaS products, platform development, or transformation towards SaaS delivery models is essential. You are a strong people leader known for building trust, developing talent, and creating an environment where accountability, ownership, and continuous learning thrive. You empower people to perform at their best while maintaining clear expectations and a strong focus on results. At the same time, you are collaborative by nature, capable of building strong relationships across functions and cultures, and motivated by contributing to the success of the wider organisation rather than solely your own area of responsibility.

The role is based in Málaga, Spain, and candidates should either already be located in the region or be willing to relocate. Fluency in English is required, while Spanish is considered an advantage.
