As the Head of Operations, Kalundborg you will lead the daily activities at Beritech’s Kalundborg site. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire site, managing work schedules, and making sure everything runs smoothly. You will also handle key processes like inventory management, reporting, and facility administration, while keeping a close eye on safety standards, environmental regulations, and cost management.
Dynamic Leadership: Coordinate Projects, Optimize Resources, and Foster Team Collaboration
A big part of your job will be working closely with the project team to make sure customer projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. You will be involved in every step, from proposal development to project execution, ensuring the best outcomes for both Beritech and their clients.
You will play an active part in the Site Zealand management team and be responsible for handling all personnel-related matters such as team welfare, payroll schemes, employee development and site logistics. In addition, you will be working on forecasting resource plans based on ongoing and future projects, as well as managing recruitment and personnel budgets. Financially, you will be optimizing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective workflows, along with tracking and managing the site’s overall budget.
Safety is a top priority, and as the management representative in the local safety group, you will lead efforts to meet environmental requirements and drive CO2 reduction initiatives. You will also be involved in planning and follow-up meetings with customers, attending client visits, and supporting the preparation of project proposals.
Success in this role depends on strong collaboration and stakeholder management. You will be working closely with various departments such as QA, Finance, IT, Project Management, Safety, Planning, and People & Organization. Your ability to engage in constructive dialogues with all these teams will be key to ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across the site.
Experienced Operations Leader with Strong People Skills
To excel in this role, you will need solid experience in managing both blue-collar and white-collar staff, combined with considerable experience in a production environment, ideally in order-based manufacturing companies. Familiarity with process optimization tools is key, LEAN tools being a bonus, as well as technical knowledge in steel or welding work. Experience from a regulated industry and in quality systems such as GMP or ISO are a requirement for the position. We also expect you to have a solid understanding of operational financial management and project models.
On a personal level, we are looking for a team player with excellent organizational skills, who communicates well and is adaptable yet structured. Creativity, persistence, and a proactive attitude are crucial, along with strong people skills and empathy. A good sense of humor is always appreciated, and you will need to be independent with a strong commercial mindset. Fluency in Danish and English are a requirement for this position as well.
