Process Excellence & Transformation Lead
Xellia Pharmaceuticals
Lead enterprise process transformation at Xellia Pharmaceuticals
What does it take to rethink how an organisation works in an increasingly complex and interconnected business environment?
At Xellia Pharmaceuticals, transformation is not driven by systems alone. It is equally about how business processes are designed, governed, and continuously evolved to support a global organisation operating across functions and geographies.
On behalf of Xellia Pharmaceuticals, Compass Human Resources Group is looking for a Process Excellence and Transformation Lead to take a leading role in shaping Xellia’s enterprise process agenda. This newly established position offers a rare opportunity to drive meaningful, organisation wide transformation and to build process excellence as a lasting internal capability.
A senior role with enterprise impact
The Process Excellence and Transformation Lead will lead the redesign and transformation of Xellia’s core business processes. Operating at the intersection of business, systems, and change, you will work closely with senior leaders and functional teams to challenge established ways of working and define future oriented, scalable process designs.
You will collaborate closely with the Digital Transformation Lead to ensure that process transformation provides a strong foundation for system decisions, automation initiatives, and the effective use of AI. The role requires someone who is comfortable setting direction at senior level while remaining closely engaged in execution and implementation.
Key responsibilities
- Leading enterprise level, cross functional process transformation from initial analysis through to redesigned target states
- Establishing and embedding in house expertise within process engineering, re-engineering, and structured process mapping
- Defining best practice process designs and driving simplification, standardization, and improved end to end flow
- Facilitating senior level and functional workshops to analyse and redesign how work is performed across the organisation
- Driving the transition from process design into execution and supporting selected implementation initiatives
- Partnering closely with the Digital Transformation Lead on alignment between process design, systems, automation, and AI
- Shaping governance, standards, and principles that support sustainable process excellence over time
The profile we are looking for
This role is suited for a senior transformation profile with 6+ years of relevant experience from management consulting, enterprise transformation, or a comparable in-house role. You bring strong professional judgement and the credibility to engage confidently with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
You combine structured thinking with a pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset and are motivated by shaping how a complex organisation operates at its core. Experience from life sciences is not a requirement. Fluency in English is essential.
Why this role
This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly established role with significant influence and long-term impact. Process Excellence and Transformation Lead, you will play a central role in shaping how a global pharmaceutical company operates at its core, with the mandate to build a durable, enterprise-wide process capability that supports performance, scalability, and continued development.
Xellia Pharmaceuticals is the global leader in fermentation based, non-beta lactam anti-infectives, supplying APIs and Finished Dosage Forms to more than 500 pharmaceutical companies across 80 countries. Recognized by the World Health Organization and the European Union for its critical medicines, Xellia combines a heritage of more than 120 years with a clear ambition to strengthen how the organisation works across functions and geographies. For the right candidate, this role offers real responsibility, close access to decision makers, and the opportunity to leave a visible footprint on Xellia’s continued development.
