We are seeking an experienced
Business Process Development Manager
to join St1 Group’s Energy Trade & Logistics business unit.
About our team
The Energy Trade & Logistics business unit plays a pivotal role in St1 Group’s energy transition journey. We oversee energy trading and logistics operations across the organization, managing the full value chain—from supply and production to sales.
About the role
This newly established position focuses on developing and optimizing end-to-end business processes for both fossil fuel and renewable value chains. You will work as part of a dynamic two-person specialist team, jointly responsible for driving process excellence.
Reporting to the Head of Value Chain Business Processes, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing business-critical processes across the company.
What you will do
- Business process development & management: Lead the mapping, development, and documentation of organizational-level business processes. Drive data collection, performance measurement, and analysis of operational states. Monitor process performance and act as the primary liaison for process improvement initiatives.
- Change management & implementation: Lead change management and drive the implementation of improved processes, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities Drive change management initiatives and oversee the implementation of enhanced business processes. Establish clear role definitions and accountability frameworks across all process domains. Establish future monitoring systems supported by fit-for-purpose tools to enable ongoing performance tracking and compliance.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Act as the key contact for internal and external stakeholders. Build strong partnerships with commercial, production, IT, compliance, and finance teams. and lead cross-functional workshops to facilitate change.
- Sustainability & compliance: Oversee the development and management of sustainability initiatives, encompassing performance monitoring and the establishment of governance structures. Ensure adherence to both internal policies and external regulatory standards.
What we’re looking for
You are a proactive, curious, and collaborative team player with strong networking and influencing skills. You thrive in refining workflows and driving performance through process excellence.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering or economics
- Proven experience in developing and implementing business processes across organizations
- Background in consulting or development roles in similar industries (e.g., energy, process, commodities) preferred
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and project management (Lean Six Sigma is a plus)
- Strong facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical mindset with a hands-on approach
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Fluent in English; Finnish or Swedish is an asset

The position is based at the St1 Helsinki office in Tripla, and occasional travel within the Nordics is required.
