Head of FP&A
Jeld-Wen
Would you like to lead the Danish FP&A function in an international manufacturing company and help create greater financial transparency, stronger decision support and closer partnerships with operations and sales?
JELD-WEN is looking for a business-oriented Head of FP&A who can combine financial discipline with operational and commercial understanding. You will take a key role in the Danish organisation, where you will be responsible for strengthening the quality and credibility of financial information while developing FP&A into an increasingly proactive business partner.
Key finance role in an international manufacturing organisation
As Head of FP&A – Denmark, you will be a member of the Danish country leadership team and report to the Head of FP&A – Northern Europe. You will lead a team of two FP&A Analysts and work closely with leaders across operations, manufacturing and sales, as well as finance colleagues throughout Northern Europe and relevant stakeholders at headquarters.
Your initial focus will be to establish confidence in the Danish financial figures and ensure that reporting, forecasts and budgets are accurate, transparent and clearly explained. On this foundation, you will strengthen forward-looking analysis and decision support and bring the FP&A function closer to the commercial and operational organisation.
The position covers JELD-WEN’s two Danish manufacturing sites in Herning and Sønder Felding and requires regular presence at both locations. Working within an international matrix organisation, you will have a broad interface across functions, countries and organisational levels.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading monthly performance reporting, forecasting and budgeting for the Danish organisation
- Maintaining oversight of the Danish P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Ensuring the quality, transparency and credibility of financial information
- Explaining financial developments and the underlying operational and commercial drivers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial requirements, including US GAAP and local GAAP
- Acting as a financial business partner to leaders in operations, manufacturing, sales and the Danish country leadership team
- Translating financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations
- Leading, developing and supporting two FP&A Analysts
- Improving and simplifying recurring reporting and FP&A processes
- Identifying opportunities to automate reporting and strengthen dashboard capabilities
- Contributing to the development of systems, data and FP&A practices across Northern Europe
Strong FP&A profile with business understanding
The ideal candidate brings a strong background within FP&A, business controlling or commercial finance, combined with broad experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance management and business partnering. The position can be relevant both for an experienced finance leader and for a senior finance profile ready to take on broader responsibility for the FP&A agenda and leadership of a small team.
A good understanding of the operational and commercial drivers behind financial performance is important, together with the ability to take ownership of financial reporting, analysis and planning. Equally important is the ability to translate financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations and to work closely with stakeholders across the business.
Experience from a manufacturing or operational environment is preferred, particularly where finance acts as a close business partner to operations and commercial functions. Experience from an international or matrix organisation will be an advantage.
You have strong analytical capabilities and are comfortable working with large datasets, financial models and Excel. Experience with ERP systems, dashboards and financial reporting or consolidation tools such as SAP, OneStream, HFM or Hyperion will be an advantage.
Previous people management experience is an advantage, but not necessarily a prerequisite. Leadership experience may also have been gained through project management, professional leadership or as a senior member of a finance team. What matters is the motivation and capability to lead and develop others while remaining close to both the numbers and the business.
As a person, you combine financial understanding with curiosity about the business. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, communicating financial topics to non-financial stakeholders and contributing to decision-making. You take ownership, create progress and are motivated by having a broad role that combines FP&A, business partnering and people leadership. You hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field and communicate professionally in both Danish and English.
