Activate is the world’s first active gaming concept, where guests step inside immersive, tech-enabled rooms that react in real time to their movements and decisions. Players jump, climb, solve puzzles, and dodge lasers together, combining physical activity with interactive digital gameplay for an adrenaline-filled social experience. Since its first location in Winnipeg in 2019, Activate has rapidly expanded to nearly 100 venues across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Bringing Activate to Denmark – Lead the flagship launch

Activate Games Scandinavia holds the franchise rights for the Nordic region and is responsible for establishing, operating, and scaling the brand across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. The first Danish venue is to be launched at Field’s in Copenhagen. As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in launching and operating this flagship location, setting the benchmark for future openings in Denmark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the daily operations of the Copenhagen venue, ensuring smooth workflows, high service standards, and operational excellence—especially during the launch phase.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a motivated team, fostering a positive and customer-focused culture.
  • Drive local B2B and corporate sales, building relationships and executing team-building events and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with Activate’s global standards, including safety, brand consistency, and quality, while managing facility maintenance and inventory.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, using data-driven insights to optimize revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and peers across Scandinavia to share best practices and support the successful roll-out of future venues.

Who are we looking for?

We seek an energetic, hands-on leader with a passion for customer experience and operational excellence. You have experience in leisure, entertainment, hospitality, or retail businesses, and a proven track record in managing customer-facing teams. Ideally, you bring B2B sales experience and a background in franchise operations or international brand environments.

Your Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., business, hospitality, leisure management) is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Hands-on operational management skills with the ability to balance day-to-day tasks and big-picture planning.
  • Strong B2B sales and corporate outreach capabilities.
  • Team leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Danish and English.
  • Organisational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Technical aptitude and curiosity for interactive gaming and facility systems.
  • Service-oriented mindset, proactive and solution-focused, resilient and adaptable.
