Join Salfarm and play a key role in developing success in the Finnish market. Salfarm is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join the team as the Country Sales Manager for Finland.

Salfarm is a Danish fast growing veterinary medicine company that specializes in providing pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter (OTC) products, and medical equipment tailored for veterinary use. They focus on delivering high-quality products and solutions to support the health and well-being of animals across various species. 

About the role

Salfarm has decided to change their go-to-market strategy, transforming their business in Finland from sales via a distributor to a direct sales approach. You will therefore be responsible for driving this change and ensure that current business is not lost, but even importantly grow the new sales channels. Furthermore, Salfarm is dedicated to bringing their entire product portfolio into the Finnish market and thereby increase market share and revenue significantly. You will therefore be responsible for overseeing and implementing sales and marketing initiatives, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the operations in Finland. You will start building your team as soon as you start and ensure that the plan for growth is implemented, and thereby grow your team accordingly.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for sales activities in Finland together with Finnish and Nordic colleagues
  • Sales and marketing of Salfarm products (pharmaceutical, OTC products and medical equipment) in Finland for both new and old customers (veterinarians and farmers)
  • Meetings with veterinarians, pharmacies, wholesalers and other relevant parties.
  • Professional support to veterinarians, pharmacies and customers.
  • Planning of and participation in congress, courses and other customer events in Finland and abroad.
  • Cooperating in sales strategies and marketing for Salfarm products in Finland.
  • Build and manage the local sales team.

About you

To be successful in the role we believe that you have a background as a veterinarian with some commercial experience and mind set. Alternatively, you come from a similar role from a relevant veterinary company as this role requires a strong understanding of the Finnish veterinary market and regulatory environment. You have a proven track record of success in other sales roles, preferably in the animal pharmaceutical or medical equipment industry. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans to achieve business objectives. Additionally, you have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced dynamic environment.
