IT Infrastructure Solution Architect

Palsgaard A/S

Palsgaard A/S is an international company, and the world’s only full-service emulsifier and stabilizer company, developing sustainably produced ingredients with specialized properties for the food industry, polymers, animal feed, and cosmetics. Palsgaard invented the food emulsifier 100 years ago and is still leading in the development of emulsifiers and stabilizers. Palsgaard is on a journey to transfer its 100-year CSR-legacy to the new ESG agenda. They report on Co2-emissions in their entire value chain, and they are continuously working to reduce emissions. Palsgaard A/S, together with subsidiaries and other companies, is part of the self-governing institution, Schou-Fondet, at the Palsgaard estate near Juelsminde between Horsens and Vejle. Palsgaard companies have approximately 400 employees in Denmark and approximately 300 employees globally in subsidiaries.

Palsgaard is in the process of doubling their production capacity in the coming years. They are at full speed ahead and are looking into an ambitious growth strategy that places significant demands on optimizing their global business processes. An important part of this journey is the implementation of a cloud-based ERP; Dynamics 365 F&SCM, and the needed infrastructure.

As IT Infrastructure Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the development and operation of Palsgaard’s cloud-based infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization in scoping, developing and implementing various IT projects from an overall infrastructure perspective. In this connection, you will, of course, be involved in the implementation of D365.
Furthermore, you will act as an important sparring partner to the support team on matters related to licenses and inventory.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Project management from an infrastructure perspective, ensuring alignment between individual stakeholders’ needs, and the overall infrastructure.
  • Hybrid IT infrastructure operations.
  • IT Cloud management and development – Microsoft Azure technology, platforms, and architectures.
  • Infrastructure elements of IT application execution: setup, user admin, security.
  • Preparation and coordination of IT design development
  • Participation in the design of the infrastructure.
  • IT security – i.e. NIS2.
  • Support and monitor different systems and services according to ITIL-principles.
  • Support IT infrastructure and end-users.
  • Part of the 24/7 on-call duty scheme (every 6 weeks)

You will join a highly qualified, global IT team of 16 dedicated IT professionals, who value an informal environment and pursue strong collaboration to achieve their goals and have fun while doing so. Palsgaard values personal development and offers the opportunity to take on other responsibilities as you develop in the role.

You will report to Peter Frøkjær, Global IT Infrastructure & Operation Manager, and the position is based at the headquarter in Juelsminde (DK) where you will experience a flexible workday, including the opportunity to work from home.

IT infrastructure profile, who thrives with stakeholder management

We imagine that you have an educational background within IT such as Computer Engineering or Information Technologist with a focus on infrastructure, or at least 5 years of work experience within this area. However, most importantly, you have extensive knowledge on cloud-based infrastructure and practices, including hands-on experience with Azure.
You might also have skills within documentation and compliance or knowledge of ITIL-methodology.

On a personal level, you thrive in an environment with a high degree of autonomy. You have a structured approach to your areas of responsibilities combined with excellent critical thinking skills, which enables you to troubleshoot systematically and effectively. Furthermore, you enjoy working with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, communicating specialized knowledge to colleagues and collaborators on different technical levels. Your interpersonal skills combined with your business-minded approach to your area of expertise enable you to scope, plan and develop solutions that fill the needs of individual stakeholders without compromising the quality of the overall IT architecture of the business.

Lastly, you can communicate effortlessly in Danish and English both written and orally.

Attractive benefits and global growth opportunities

Palsgaard offers you good working conditions, including a 7. vacation week, health insurance, profit sharing in form of an additional pension scheme, as well as abundant opportunities for personal and professional development, both nationally and globally. An international environment with customers and colleagues worldwide and a social well-functioning environment with a familiar atmosphere in informal settings, located in beautiful surroundings at Palsgaard Estate. You become part of a global production company with a strong ESG profile, where, in the upcoming strategic plan, they envision a period of significant expansions both in Denmark and in subsidiaries.
