Unique opportunity: combination role as Account Manager and Anaemic Nurse Advisor

Pharmacosmos is a global pioneer in carbohydrate chemistry and a leader in the development of innovative treatments for patients suffering from iron deficiency (ID) and iron deficiency anaemia (IDA). They are addressing an unmet medical need with strong clinical backing and have an exciting pipeline that together with recent acquisitions will move the company into new therapeutic areas.  Current focus for the coming years will be Monofer which is the market leader within intravenous iron treatment.

Exciting combination role with sales and educational activities
Join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in addressing both ID and IDA within the specialist community in Norway. As a Key Account Manager (KAM) and Anaemia Nurse Advisor (ANA), you’ll have the unique opportunity to combine commercial strategy with educational activities, driving business growth and improving patient care.

Field based work within Gastro, Cardio, Nephro and Obst/Gyn  
The role is field based covering Oslo area as well as remote territories and the main focus will be on gastroenterologists, cardiologists and nephrologists and the clinical staff supporting these specialties. You will be overall responsible for defining and implementing the regional strategy with commercial and educational elements, you will develop strong relationships with key decision makers and carry out relevant supporting educational activities ensuring that the treatment is effectively positioned, supported and used for improving patient outcomes in a range of therapeutic areas.

Your Role: As a Key Account Manager/Anaemia Nurse Advisor, you will:

  • Be part of a dedicated team of two KAM/ANAs in Norway
  • Be supported by a medical scientific liaison
  • Report directly to the Country Sales Manager for Denmark and Norway, based in Denmark
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Anaemia Nurse Advisors, Key Account Managers and Marketing
  • Experience a growing interest in anaemia treatments among professionals

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales, training, and educational responsibilities in your own district
  • Prepare sales activity plans to achieve goals within the assigned budget
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate on projects with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), purchasing organizations, and prescribers
  • Follow up on personal sales targets, activities, and budgets
  • Contribute to competitor analysis and identify opportunities
  • Participate in defining product strategies, necessary marketing tools, and relevant projects
  • Schedule meetings with nurses at hospitals and clinics to educate about iron deficiency/iron deficiency anaemia and its treatment
  • Conduct training on the practical management and administration of IV iron infusions
  • Help establish and develop clinical practices for iron deficiency treatment

Nurse background combined with commercial experience
You are a qualified, registered nurse and have relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a specialist environment with at least 2 years of commercial experience. You are independent, self-driven, and motivated by building new relationships, finding the way forward and creating projects and workshop that will increase quality and efficiency in the treatment pathway. You have great organizational skills, are detail-oriented, and have a positive attitude towards learning and collaboration. Experience with hospital products and within Gastro/Cardio/Nephro/Ob-gyn will be considered a plus.

Practical Conditions:
We are a customer facing organization and we expect commercial teams to be in the field 80% of the time. Expect 6-10 days of travel per month, including local and international travel. Good oral and written presentation skills in Norwegian and English as well as a driver license is a prerequisite.

Suggested regions to be covered would be:
Oslo (shared), Viken (shared), Østfold, Akershus, Innlandet, St. Olavs, Nord-Trøndelag, Helgeland, Nordland, Nord-Norg, regions can be discussed pending logistical practicalities and professional experience.
