Palsgaard A/S is an international company, and the world’s only full-service emulsifier and stabilizer company, developing sustainably produced ingredients with specialized properties for the food industry, polymers, animal feed, and cosmetics. Palsgaard invented the food emulsifier 100 years ago and are still leading in the development of emulsifiers and stabilizers. Palsgaard is on a journey to transfer their 100-year CSR-legacy to the new ESG agenda. They report on Co2-emissions in their entire value chain (including scope 3 for DK, starting 2023), and they are continuously working to reduce emissions.  Palsgaard A/S, together with subsidiaries and other companies are part of the self-governing institution, Schou-Fondet, at the Palsgaard estate near Juelsminde between Horsens and Vejle. Palsgaard companies have approximately 400 employees in Denmark and approximately 300 employees globally in subsidiaries.

Palsgaard is in the midst of implementing an ambitious growth strategy, entailing substantial investments in their production capacity and the global implementation of a new ERP system (D365). As a result, optimizing their Supply Chain and facilitating change management within their business processes have become key priorities. Thus, we are now searching for a strong and empathetic Planning Manager, who can utilize their solid experience and excellent leadership skills to motivate and develop the Planning team.

Managing the tactical and operational production planning and scheduling at the factories in Denmark

In the role as Planning Manager, you will be a central figure in the daily operations, leading the planning team in your work to ensure the preparation, follow-up, and timely execution of the right production plans. You will need to understand the complexity of production planning while contributing to standardizing workflows for planners by fostering a shared system understanding and a consistent approach to ERP system usage. Your task is to manage tactical and operational production planning and scheduling at the factories in Juelsminde, ensuring strong delivery performance and optimal capacity utilization 24/7.

Your tasks include:

  • Managing Planning team including planning, replenishment, operational handling of subcontractor and intercompany call off.
  • Optimized planning according to defined criteria being delivery performance, safety stocks, warehouse capacity and capital tied up in inventories.
  • End to End responsibility for defined processes being “Supply to produce” in a global perspective.
  • Responsible for MRP processes within Palsgaard.
  • Securing smooth cooperation between planning/replenishment team, Customer and Sales support, and Shipping in daily operations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain KPI´s for general business control by setting targets and achieving them
  • Running projects in all sizes within own department as well as cross functional.
  • Responsible for the ongoing process of establishing KPIs for managing daily operations.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in the supply chain.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the team.
  • Daily support in solving supply issues.

You will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager and join the Supply Chain management team. Your team will consist of seven dedicated specialists who highly value professional collaboration and your main stakeholders will be Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, Customer & Sales Support, and Shipping.
You will work out of Palsgaard´s main office in Juelsminde.

Experienced Planning Manager and skilled leader

We are looking for a candidate with at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar leadership role, where you have demonstrated the ability to deliver results while ensuring team motivation and well-being. Experience from the processing industry, particularly within food or pharmaceuticals, would be an advantage.

You have hands-on experience with Supply Chain Management, and while your educational background can vary, but we expect you to have at least a bachelor’s degree.

This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex problem-solving. Your decision-making approach is structured and fact-based, and you thrive in a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with a wide array of internal stakeholders. You excel at building and maintaining strong professional relationships and are not afraid to challenge status quo while ensuring the successful execution of shared goals and KPIs.

As Palsgaard is a global organization, fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken, is required. Additionally, Palsgaard expects you to be an experienced user of MS Office/Excel and ERP systems (experience with Dynamics AX/365 and BI tools is a plus).
