We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced data privacy lawyer to join us as we expand and grow our client base.

As a Privacy Lawyer at Boost.ai you will work to ensure that the company’s processing activities and practices are compliant with applicable data protection rules. The position reports to Head of Legal.

Your tasks will vary on a wide range of privacy and data protection matters.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice and recommendations about the interpretation and application of the data protection rules under GDPR and stay up to date with and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Identify and assess privacy risks, carry out privacy impact assessments, and assist in developing strategies to ensure compliance and reduce the overall related risks for the company. Maintain and further develop data privacy governance.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as Boost.ai’s privacy expert and assist in relevant requests from customers, partners and data subjects.
  • Be responsible for the training of employees who process personal data, and raise privacy awareness at the workplace.
  • Act as Boost.ai’s privacy expert in audits, such as the ISO 27701, and work to ensure that the company is compliant with the privacy related iso-requirements.
  • Ad hoc legal work, such as assisting in contract negotiations or procurement processes.


To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a commercially astute, qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contract drafting, privacy law and data protection.
  • Be a lawyer (equal to the Norwegian role “jurist” or “advokat”) with at least +3 years’ legal experience at a law firm, in-house or at a data protection authority.
  • Be able to assess legal, practical and business risks quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines.
  • Be able to find practical and creative solutions and provide concise and business-focused legal advice.
  • Have excellent problem-solving, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Norwegian and English languages.
  • Have excellent client relationship management and business development skills.


The following are desirable but not essential:

  • Experience working with European data protection authorities.
  • Experience working with legal tech, mobile application and/or software development,      online advertising, AI or other technologies.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in the AI Act, NIS2, Dora etc.
