Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager
Do you want to take full ownership of Compensation & Benefits and build a modern, scalable reward framework from the ground up? Are you motivated by strategic influence, high professional standards, and the opportunity to shape how a fast-growing organisation attracts, rewards, and retains talent? Then this could be a unique opportunity for you at atNorth.
About the role
atNorth is on a hyper scale journey across the Nordic region and is entering a new phase of professionalisation within People & Culture. As part of this journey, the company is establishing the role of Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager – a newly created, central specialist position.
You will be the first dedicated Compensation & Benefits professional at atNorth, with full end-to-end responsibility for designing, implementing, and continuously developing the company’s reward framework. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will help ensure that compensation and benefits are competitive, transparent, compliant, and aligned with business strategy in a highly competitive market.
You will be part of the People & Culture function, reporting to the Director of People & Culture, and will work closely with HR Business Partners and senior stakeholders across countries.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and own atNorth’s Compensation & Benefits framework from the ground up
- Design, develop, and govern salary structures, salary bands, and job architectures
- Develop and manage short-term incentive schemes and long-term incentive plans (LTIP)
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including equal pay requirements and the EU Pay Transparency Directive
- Build and maintain compensation dashboards, analytics, and people data insights
- Provide strategic advisory support to senior leadership on reward, governance, and benchmarking
- Support annual salary review processes and compensation budgeting
- Act as subject-matter expert within compensation and reward in a fast-evolving organisation
The role has a strong analytical and strategic focus, with emphasis on structure, governance, and advisory rather than day-to-day employee support.
Your background
We imagine that you:
- Have solid experience within Compensation & Benefits, ideally from a larger, international organisation (+1,000 employees)
- Have hands-on experience designing and implementing salary structures, incentive programmes, and governance frameworks
- Possess strong knowledge of compliance, equal pay, and regulatory requirements
- Thrive in building something from scratch and being the go-to expert in your field
- Are highly analytical, structured, and data-oriented, while also being collaborative and relationship-driven
- Feel confident presenting and advising in English at Executive Committee and potentially Board level
Experience with taxation and international reward structures is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
What atNorth offers
- A key role in a fast-growing, international, and sustainability-driven company
- A unique opportunity to shape the Compensation & Benefits agenda from the very beginning
- High degree of autonomy, trust, and influence
- Short decision-making paths and strong leadership commitment
- An ambitious and professional People & Culture team
- Competitive compensation and flexible working conditions
- A Nordic role with cross-border collaboration
