As the Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing audit processes across the group. You will support a designated Business Controller, serving as the primary financial contact for a specific business segment. In this capacity, you will work closely with Business Controlling, Market Access, and Legal teams and collaborate broadly across the entire organization. Through this partnership and by working alongside the Directors of Finance and the CFO, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of operations. Additionally, this role offers you the opportunity to fully leverage and expand your accounting and financial skillset, as it encompasses a wide range of projects and tasks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a central subject-matter expert on IFRS and local GAAP-related questions as well as all audit-related topics.
  • Managing the audit process and daily relationship with the Group’s main and local auditors, gradually transitioning the audit process from a substance-based to a controls-based approach.
  • Contribute to reliable, relevant, focused, and timely financial reporting, delivering high-quality management information and insights.
  • Support the Director for Financial Controlling in keeping the Group valuation model up to date and assisting with the Group’s Partner Program (equity partnerships and warrants).
  • Own or support a variety of projects and ad hoc tasks, often working with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues responsible for accounting operations to ensure processes, procedures, and controls are well-documented, continuously maintained, and improved in a lean and effective manner.
  • Take the lead in developing a Finance Manual and, in general, ensure high-level financial controlling and reporting.
  • Participate in monthly and annual financial closings, including bookings in cooperation with an external Shared Service Centre.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues on corporate tax matters, transfer pricing, cost controlling, procurement, and CSRD/ESG reporting.
  • Serve as the primary financial expert for a designated market area, providing guidance and insights to key stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Controlling, you will join an ambitious and experienced team committed to delivering exceptional service to a wide array of global stakeholders. The team’s diverse educational backgrounds and nationalities drive innovation and enable high-quality problem-solving. By utilizing cutting-edge technology, they support the business and ensure operational excellence on a global scale.

Experienced Financial Controller with a solid understanding of IFRS and Danish GAAP

We expect you to hold a master’s degree in finance or an HD-R, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Auditor and/or Financial Controller, ideally within an international organization at the group level.  You have a solid understanding of IFRS and Danish GAAP and a good general knowledge of Danish tax legislation. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, ideally Business Central, is essential, along with experience in Konsolidator and Business Intelligence tools. As English is our corporate language, we require fluency in both written and spoken English.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller who is independent and proactive. You value meeting deadlines and consistently deliver on time. Curious and unafraid to challenge the status quo, you are ambitious and committed to achieving high-quality results. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and across cultures.

Motivated by working within a flat organizational structure, you embrace the autonomy to implement beneficial changes. You are eager to join a scale-up with ambitious growth goals and thrive in an environment where recently implemented systems, such as Business Central and Konsolidator, enable you to be a technological pioneer. Focused on working smarter, not harder, you drive innovation and efficiency in every aspect of financial management.
