The company has been on the Scandinavian market for some years and through direct sales and partnership they have built up quite a substantial market share within magnetic encoders. Now the company wants to expand this strong foundation with a fully committed Sales Manager for the whole region.

A Key player in the future growth
As Sales Manager you will report to the Global Sales and Marketing Director, and you will be responsible for the sales of the Scandinavian product portfolio. In this newly created position, you will overall be responsible for the development of the sales strategy. In cooperation with the Sales and Marketing Director you are also responsible for the market and customer development in Scandinavia.

The Company has high ambitions for the Scandinavian market and the focus will be on both expanding the cooperation with exiting customer, through a strong key account management, and identifying and addressing new business opportunities. You will have access to great lead-generating tools but with your market/industry insights and training you also find potential new customers. The customers typically have technically advanced products within industries such as robotics, electric motors, machine tools, industry automation, off-highway vehicles, and AGVs. Therefore, you provide 1st level technical support and interface between Product Managers and the customers.

Results-oriented Sales Manager with a strong technical background
We are looking for a commercially competent profile with a strong technical understanding. Preferably you have experience with or knowledge of encoders. The primary task is solution sales to mid- size and large high-tech companies, which is why it is important to have a close and follow-up dialogue with customers. The job requires you to be on the road, just as it requires a relationship-building and trust-inspiring personal style. There will be a great deal of independence in the job, as you are the spearhead setting the direction. In return, there will be a strong back-up and support from HQ regarding technical issues as well as more administrative tasks.

As you are given independent responsibility for maintaining and expanding the customer portfolio, it is essential that you have experience with, and thrive on, technical solution sales. We imagine that you have some years of experience with project sales as well as a relevant technical education probably within engineering, which makes you a competent sparring partner for the customers.

As a person, you are driven by the sale – the meeting with the customer. You are good at building relationships through your trust-building approach. Since you will be the first employee in Scandinavia, you are also attracted to the fact that you can and must build a stronger market impact on you own. You are results-oriented and driven by finding and uncovering opportunities – but most of all by closing sales. In the position you can expect quite a lot of travel, primarily in Scandinavia.

There is no decision made as to where the new Sales Manager should come from geographically, but we are primarily looking around greater Copenhagen and Stockholm.
