Finding the right candidate for the inside sales development
Daniel Haid, Commercial Manager at Tecan Nordic, is accountable for all operations and responsible for a dedicated team of 30 people. For the inside sales department he was looking for a replacement, when starting up the collaboration with Compass HRG.
Daniel Haid has a strong vision for developing inside sales in Tecan Nordic: “At Tecan Nordic my vision for inside sale is to not only handle administrative tasks but being a key component of driving the business and winning market shares.” And by developing inside sales from an administrative to a more advanced sales area brings a new focus and a special need for finding the right candidate.
As Daniel Haid says: “Finding maybe less qualified people for the role will limit the development of the inside sales. I see the role of inside sale to become more advanced containing more challenging assignments — thereby also increasing the requirements and enhancing the status of the role.”
Efficiency, speed, and quality was important in the recruitment process
Tecan Nordic was searching for a blend of high competence and ambition within as short time as possible Tecan Nordic typically has handled recruitments through external recruitment agencies.
The experience working with previous recruitment agencies has not always been easy. As Daniel Haid says: “We’ve experienced a lack of fully understanding the individual role and requirements, often leading to a slower process, where we also often find ourselves waiting for feedback”.
For the position within inside sales, where process efficiency, speed, and quality was key, Daniel Haid was collaborating with Carl Henrik Edfors, Senior Consultant, in Compass HRG.
The collaboration started with a face-to-face meeting, where every important aspect of the role and the requirements was shared, as well as giving a thorough introduction to Tecan Nordic.
