Country Manager - Poland

Compass Human Resources Group A/S

Step into a pivotal role where you will build the team from the ground up, take ownership of the Polish market, and lead the launch of a new direct‑sales organisation.

Lead Commercial Growth During a Strategic Transformation

Are you motivated by driving commercial impact, building strong customer relationships, and shaping a high‑performing sales organisation from the ground up? This is your opportunity to take a key leadership role in an established yet high‑potential market, as the company transitions to a direct‑sales model in Poland.

As Country Manager, you will play a pivotal part in unlocking significant growth opportunities by establishing the new Polish organisation, strengthening market presence, expanding the customer base, and elevating commercial performance across the country. This role offers a rare blend of commercial ownership, strategic influence, and hands‑on leadership – supported by the resources of a financially strong, publicly listed international organisation.

Driving Sales Success in a Growing Market

This newly created position comes as the company opens a dedicated sales office and warehouse near Warsaw. After operating via a distributor for several years, the move to a direct‑sales setup marks a significant milestone and positions the new Country Manager for immediate impact.

You will take a central role in establishing and leading the future Polish organisation, building a team of Sales Representatives while also assuming leadership of the Operations Manager and the local warehouse and customer service functions as they are put in place. Reporting directly to senior regional leadership, you will be responsible for shaping and growing this new structure from the ground up, while developing and executing the country’s commercial strategy, driving sales excellence, and ensuring strong visibility with hospitals and clinicians across Poland.

A Visible Leader With Strong Commercial Acumen

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader with a strong track record in medical device sales, ideally within vascular or cardiovascular segments. You bring proven leadership experience, strong business judgment, and the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate a growing team.

You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy being on the road with your team, and are skilled in balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You are analytical, customer‑oriented, collaborative, and comfortable navigating change as the organisation transitions into a fully direct‑sales model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and office teams to foster a culture of high performance
  • Set and monitor sales targets, forecasts, budgets, and KPI performance
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, support representatives in negotiations, and close key deals
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer needs to drive data‑driven commercial decisions
  • Ensure effective territory planning, including defining and allocating sales geographies
  • Generate analyses and reports for management, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Identify market‑expansion opportunities and support entry into new segments
  • Represent the company at congresses, conferences, and industry events
  • Collaborate with European colleagues and act as a key driver of commercial alignment

Your Experience and Approach

You bring a minimum of fifteen years of experience within medical device sales to hospitals and operating rooms, supported by a strong and consistent record of commercial achievements. You have spent at least five years in sales leadership and office management, demonstrating your ability to build, coach, and inspire high‑performing teams. You possess strong commercial, analytical, and financial acumen, and you take a proactive, self‑driven, and strategic approach to your work. Your communication and negotiation skills enable you to build influential and trusted relationships across all levels, and you thrive in environments that require autonomy, dedication, and maturity of judgment. You are curious, empathetic, loyal, and bring an engaging personal style—with the ability to balance professionalism with a sense of humor. Fluency in both Polish and English, spoken and written, is essential.
