Setting Global Quality strategy and leading Quality across borders
As Global Quality Director, you will define and implement the global strategy and framework for the QA organisation. You will lead a dedicated QA team in Denmark and head a global matrix organisation of QA professionals across four sites: the Netherlands, China, Malaysia, Mexico and Brazil. You will report to the Chief Sustainability and Supply Chain Officer and be part of the Supply Chain Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Palsgaard´s global Quality Assurance (QA) management system.
• Ensure certification and compliance with relevant international standards across quality, food safety, environmental, and occupational health and safety domains (e.g. ISO standards).
• Monitor and ensure adherence to global food safety legislation, managing non-conformances and customer complaints in close collaboration with production sites.
• Coordinate and host customer audits, visits, and inspections with a focus on transparency, responsiveness, and partnership.
• Strengthen QA capabilities by building team competencies and delivering targeted training programs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and facilitate knowledge sharing across the global QA organization.
• Lead the global HACCP program and ensure alignment with international food safety best practices.
Experienced, strategic, and collaborative Quality Leader
We are looking for an experienced leader with a solid background in QA – preferably, from the food or ingredients industry – however we encourage candidates with experience from other related regulated industries to apply. You have demonstrated your ability to lead in matrix-based organisations and are comfortable navigating complex structures and multicultural environments. Your educational background includes at least a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline. It is, of course, a plus if you have experience with food safety standards such as FSSC 22000. You are a strong collaborator and communicator in English, and Danish language skills are considered an advantage. Above all, you are able to foster engagement, structure, and results, and you thrive on driving improvements and building commitment in teams.
