To support this growth, the company is investing heavily in its digital infrastructure and IT organisation. As part of this journey, Abacus Medicine is now looking for skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialists to take responsibility for the design, governance, and resilience of its Azure-based cloud environment.

Take Ownership of Cloud Infrastructure and Drive Continuous Improvement

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing secure, scalable, and compliant Azure environments. You will lead initiatives around cloud governance, automation, and disaster recovery, ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance across GxP, NIS2, and Annex 11 frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones and governance frameworks.
Defining and testing disaster recovery strategies to ensure infrastructure resilience.
Maintaining high-quality documentation and architecture diagrams.
As part of a forum of architects, collaborate with multiple teams (Operations, Security etc.) to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
Managing backup and restore solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, Commvault) and validating their integrity.
Mentoring colleagues and contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Be the expert who elevates the cloud environment

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a critical area within Abacus Medicine’s IT Operations department. You will work closely with internal teams across software development, Microsoft D365, data and analytics, integrations, and IT security, as well as external vendors and contractors. The role reports directly to the Head of IT Operations and is based at their headquarters in Copenhagen.

Within your domain of responsibility, you will be expected to take ownership and drive strategic initiatives that shape the future of their cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking professional who combines a hands on approach with an outgoing personality and a strong focus on long-term solutions.

We are looking for a candidate with:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure.
Proven background in cloud governance, security, and compliance (GxP, NIS2, GDPR).
Hands-on experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
Strong skills in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Relevant Azure platform certifications (preferred).
