Food Folk, the operating company of McDonald’s in the Nordics, is committed to advancing the social sustainability agenda and ensuring the implementation of McDonald’s Nordics sustainability strategy. Consequently, they are seeking to expand their team by hiring an experienced, passionate and organized Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist.

Play a key role in supporting the diversity, equity and inclusion strategy
You will become part of the Impact team, who is responsible for delivering and embedding the McDonald’s Nordic sustainability strategy. This newly created position as Nordic DEI Specialist, will play an important role in ensuring Food Folk’s continuous improvement in the Nordics, as an inclusive employer, business partner and corporate citizen, deploying equitable measures for diversity in representation, perspectives, and opportunities, leveraging diversity for better business outcomes.
Main responsibilities:
- Continue to build on McDonald’s global reputation as one of the world’s most inclusive brands through the delivery of strategies and key programs that prioritize a culture of inclusion.
- Bring your subject matter expertise into the development, implementation, and execution of a McDonald’s in the Nordics DEI strategy, covering the value chain and key people groups; employees, franchisees, business partners/suppliers, and their communities – with a specific focus on youth.
- Help develop, implement, and deploy market-leading programs that foster inclusion and diversity among above mentioned people groups, and help define performance measures for ongoing monitoring to support DEI goals and targets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation related to DEI and maintain awareness of DEI best practices and industry standards.
- Ability to analyze various types of human resources data, identify trends and suggest improvement actions.
- Design, drive and deliver DEI programs that improve internal diversity, and fosters inclusion, belonging and allyship.
Ambitious and passionate professional with strong communication skills and hands-on experience
We are looking for a passionate DEI champion who will proactively support McDonald’s DEI business strategy objectives through subject matter expertise and great implementation skills. You will work cross-functionally with the People team to enhance Food Folk’s DEI recruitment process, build toolkits, collateral and track progress to ensure impactful results. You will serve as their business subject matter expert on DEI, and support leaders to help drive group initiatives, develop and monitor metrics, which is why hands-on experience from corporate DEI policy development, including implementation, KPI setting and follow up, is required. You have excellent project management skills and experience with DEI training development as well as facilitating training. We expect that you bring 3-5 years of working experience as well as a degree in fields like Diversity and Inclusion Management or Human Resources and/or equivalent Certificate Programs.
