Take the lead on important Supply Chain Planning processes and Operational Purchasing

As Operational Buyer at the plant in Osted, you will be responsible for the tactical & operational purchasing plan for their Infusion Care division. You’ll have the overall responsibility for keeping raw materials available at the committed service levels in the factory. Buyers are also responsible for covering production planning and in-direct purchasing to support the site in Osted.

You’ll have your own area to look after and be responsible for managing the inventory and targets within it.

How you will add value:

  • Purchase order management with external suppliers, to keep the right materials in the right quantity at the right time in the factory in Osted.
  • Purchase in-direct materials for the site.
  • Manage stock transfer orders between the factories in Osted and Reynosa in Mexico.
  • Taking part in the production planning for the factory.
  • Monitor and act upon alerts raised for materials when they are unavailable and follow up with overdue Purchase orders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the planning settings of the materials.
  • Manage the financial invoice discrepancies.
  • Manage the Excess & Obsolete within your own area.
  • Taking the lead on own area – understanding the issues that are driving unavailable materials, capacity constraints and other supplier specific challenges.
  • Take an active role in projects, managing changes in variants or new variants, ensuring close cooperation with the development team.
  • Secure a sustainable and productive relationship with the suppliers within your area, including managing the monthly forecast.
  • Secure a sustainable and productive relationship with all the other stakeholders, leading to success within your role.

Business critical travel of up to 10 days annually must be expected.

It is important that you master both Danish and English both verbally and in writing.

Convatec is looking for an experienced candidate with strong SAP experience and excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills and a high degree of business acumen.

You have an academic degree in Supply Chain Planning or similar or you are educated within procurement or logistics. You have some years of experience working with Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Procurement and/or Purchasing.

You are experienced in negotiating and partnering with internal as well as external stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness. You thrive in working with people / teams in a complex and changing environment and you deliver value adding results to the business.
