Technical Project Manager

to take on an exciting new opportunity. This role offers a unique opportunity to play an integral part in the company’s growth and help drive its future achievements.

About the role:

As a Technical Project Manager at Mrec IM, you will be actively involved in property development projects, overseeing construction planning and managing the execution of large-scale construction activities across a diverse portfolio. You will provide technical support to your team and ensure efficient progression of projects. In addition, your key responsibilities will include conducting critical reviews of long-term plans, prioritizing repair and renovation needs based on cash flow, and leading tenant improvement initiatives and large-scale renovations. You will also be responsible for evaluating project costs from a technical perspective, ensuring compliance with construction agreements, and confirming that properties meet all relevant regulations and standards.

You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement and development within the portfolio. By monitoring the consumption of resources across properties, you will also explore and implement strategies to achieve cost savings. These actions will enhance efficiency while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the portfolio.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in property or construction, ideally with over five years of experience managing large-scale projects from start to finish. A solid technical background is required, with a preference for specialization in areas such as electrical systems, structural engineering, or HVAC and water systems. The role also requires experience with various types of construction contract models, procurement processes, and project management methodologies.

The ideal candidate is a responsible professional who works independently while excelling in teamwork, with strong organizational and decision-making skills. You possess an analytical mindset and a solid understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of construction, with the ability to quickly adapt to new information. Your persistence in managing long-term projects, coupled with a genuine interest in real estate development, is essential. Additionally, you bring excellent collaboration skills and a proactive approach to driving projects forward. Fluency in Finnish and excellent English language skills are required, with Swedish proficiency seen as an advantage.
